We playing for money? Where do I send it?

Im firmly in the camp of not paying him any more money. He's under contract until the end of the season, we've no requirement to accept any bid in January. Thinking he might throw the toys out of the pram and refuse to play is a stretch too. Once Pope is back he won't be playing anyway so why on earth would we be paying him more money for the rest of the season? I genuinely can't ever remember a scenario like this happening.

We don't have to sell him and he's already got a contract til the summer, why are we giving him a rise? When Pope comes back he won't play anyway, unless Popes injury is a lot more serious than we know?
