Burn and Schar have been absolutely brilliant for us but there's definitely a case to be made that a settled Thiaw and Botman is a level above them even so and that the team will naturally progress onto them at the back. It'll probably happen this season.

He has had fuck all game time with Wolt yet, and none with Wissa. Look at the space Elanga was getting against Barca, I honestly think we'd have scored at least once in the first half if he had Wolt to find in the middle. I think Elanga is gonna be very good for us.

Why is Elanga catching strays? He's barely been here and hasn't had a run in the team at all.

I kinda feel sorry for Howe when it comes to our attackers because we would no doubt have more goals if Wissa didn't get injured. But at least he'll return and get back to full fitness just in time for the November international break. It also doesn't help Howe that Barnes and Gordon have forgotten how to score or assist.

We were very lucky it boiled down to just that, Arsenal could have been out of sight in the first half. The line up was completely wrong imo.

I wouldn't blame the players too much, Eddie got it wrong with how he laid the team out. Criticising Burn at lb is pointless, we know what he is like at left back, why the fuck did Howe start him there? Why are we not starting Elanga?

For all the talk of Villas terrible start they're level on points with us, albeit we've had tougher fixtures. Our goals scored is terrible as well.
