Pardew's approach to cup games sickens me, especially this season when he moans about the Europa League, a competition we all dreamed of being in following our relegation. Cup games, especially the domestic cups, are part of the season, they're competitive games and should be just as serious as league games, arguably more so for us given how long it's been since Newcastle won a domestic cup. If we need to be put out of the FA Cup to help our league form then it shows just what a shambles Pardew has made this team become.

What's more likely is that they will see our current squad as good enough to stay in the Premier League, so as you were for next season, with one or two new key players coming in and a few youngsters/cheap buys. Obviously we'll sell as well though so we'll just be in the same shit.

Wasn't there something a couple of years ago that finishing in the top 10 was a target every season? I wonder if he will be sacked when we finish well away from 10th this season. Despite the mess that is this season, I still fear for next year if Pardew is still here because if we lose some of our better players in the summer and have a team of lesser quality we are definitely going down.

I can't see us getting anything from Norwich, they play much better football and they'll know Newcastle are there for the taking. If they score the first goal we're fucked. Reading should be a win, if it isn't we're doomed. Villa is anybodies guess, it'll simply be a case of who wants it more. It doesn't help really that we're going to their back yard too, because it would be typical of us to turn up and give a shit side their only win in God knows how long. There really are no easy games in the Premier League, especially with a side extremely low on confidence and managed by a clueless manager. It's 50/50 for me in terms of relegation. I still think we have good enough players to keep us up, but then again looking at the fixture list I just can't see where we can string a good run of games in. After January our next two games are Chelsea and Spurs ffs. Our away form is the worst in decades and we also have City, Liverpool and Arsenal breaking up the remaining games after the EL. It's going to be a horrible end to season either way because we'll either go down or stay up in and around 14th. I just hope we can break away a bit and get in to the later stages of the EL or FA Cup. That way if we look to be safe in March or so we can at least look at one of the cups in a bid to bring some excitement back in to this dreadful season.

Our squad etc were worse last time around, but the fact is our league form was better then than it is now (I think we've two points less now than we had at the same stage of the season in 08/09). Despite the Keegan crisis, Kinnear and having a desperate squad of players, we're actually doing worse now. It's unforgivable. People can look at how we went down last time compared to what we have now all they want, as things stands we're heading for the drop.

And with the players we have it's just unforgivable.

I don't think we can afford to take that risk We have more chance of losing all 3 than getting 7 points with Pardew in charge.

We must be the only club in the division that won't sack a manager for that.

And the mackems beat City a few days ago. Other teams around us are picking up points in unlikely places, while we're just dropping points absolutely everywhere. Very worrying.
