There's absolutely no chance of Pardew going in the summer because if he was going to be sacked for this season he'd have gone already. Hopefully he can replicate last season because I'd hate for us to have more mediocrity with this squad of players man.

I can't really disagree with anything he has said there tbh. The only bit that slightly annoys me is talking about Chelsea like they are a massive club when they're not, but you can't argue that they are all about winning trophies more so than us and that he will most likely win something there. I wouldn't boo him, but I probably wouldn't clap him either. He came here for a short period and scored an average amount of goals per season for us really, bar possibly this season if he had of stayed. Just another journey man at Newcastle really, we won't be telling our kids in 15 years about him.

The second half was a complete disgrace, probably the worst I've seen us in a long time given the opposition. We couldn't get out of our half and when we did it went to a lone striker who couldn't do anything else but lose the ball. Too many times the lone striker headed it in to no mans land back to Villa because there was no one else up there. I honestly can't remember a single decent shot from us in that half. Disgraceful really, parking the bus for 45 minutes against a team we were completely destroying in the first half. Typical Pardew really, we could have scored a 3rd or 4th and seen the game out comfortably, but Pardew would rather park the bus and give us a nightmare of a half.

We seem to up our game against the 'big' clubs so I don't think we'll be hammered. I really can't call it because we'll have gained confidence from beating Villa, the new boys will be up for it what with being at SJP for the first time and Chelsea have been dodgy enough away from home this season. The biggest problem here is Pardew. I shamefully hope it's 0-0 at half time, if we're winning early enough then Pardew will fuck us over and we'll lose comfortably.

I seriously hope Pardew isn't blinded by that win and realizes how shit his second half tactics were. A better side would have comfortably turned us over.
