Wouldnt be suprised if people in the UK started supporting teams in the Euro league that arnt British, of course they will tell you they were die hard fans before the Euro League started.

I was talking to a mate about this, hes a Celtic fan and hes blinded by the fact that his league is fucking dogs breath. He thinks the Euro league would be amazing and would generate huge money and audiences. However i disagree, i told him that a Euro league would be huge for about 3 years max. After about 3 years the teams in the Euro league will find it hard to get world class players, players wont want to go to Liverpool if they are finishing 6th in their league and never winning anything. World class players would however love to go to the likes of Newcastle, Spurs etc, teams who will be winning silverware in their countries without the bigger clubs. Therefore after a few years teams like Newcastle and Spurs will be able to attract good quality and will become better than the likes of Liverpool finishing mid table in their super league. In the end the Euro league will be great for a few seasons but after a while it will become just like any other league in that there will be a small number of teams vastly greater than the rest, the rest will become boring mid table nothing sides and then they will regret their move to that league. The league will also have fuck all to play for, one league and one cup where as in the domestic leagues we have one league, 2 domestic cups and a European cup. If it happened it would be a huge kick up the arse to the glory hunting scum, it would be hilarious for the likes of us to sit back and watch and to go on and have a great chance of alot of success here.
