I love Howe for what he has done so far, and he has done amazingly and I’m sure he will make us even better. But, IF (big if) he does prioritise physical ability over football ability too much then I personally don’t think he will ever take us to the very very top. I’m speaking hypothetically here right now. The summer window will tell us very much about what route we will go. Technical ability is key, and we are weak in this department overall. Fingers crossed we get it right.

I most certainly hope that we are looking for more technical players that are great on the ball and not like the many ones we have been linked with lately. Do NOT want Onana!

I love Big Joe and would be gutted to see him go. He offers a lot. Having said that, I don’t think he’s good enough in the ball (when thinking further ahead). Hypothetically speaking since it’s probably just shit stirring stuff. At this moment at least.

You are absolutely right about many things. But, never forget that it’s quite easy to read up on players to get an idea about a player. Reading on other forums about their own player and what their thoughts are on player X. Also reading reports from people who have seen a player tons of times. It doesn’t mean that you know everything about the player like a professional scout. All I’m saying is that you CAN get an idea what type of player it is, style; weaknesses and strengths.
