If I could choose one CM that isn’t an attacking one as Paqueta then I’d pick Seko Fofana. Can’t believe that no one has bought him yet? Might not be a priority but imho he’s a must buy anyway considering how good he is and that he seems available and also for a decent price by the sounds of it. Anyone know why he hasn’t moved yet? We don’t necessarily need a pure DM in there imo. Just need to get the balance right and get someone physical and athletic in. Fofana has everything you need in a box to box midfielder. Strong, quick, technical ability, goals, passing, dribbling. I’m pretty certain that he would be one of the buys of the summer if he comes to the PL.

What excites me the most from the little I’ve seen is his balance in combination with his quick feet. It’s not just that he seems to have quick feet but he’s got that natural 1st touch and ball control when moving with the ball and changing direction while still remaining in total control of his body while also being agile. Especially when you consider how tall he is. Some more experience and genuine coaching and he could become some player I think.

Might be a problem with the PL now that there’s more piracy than ever in Toon.

The French league is almost more physical. You get less time on the ball in the PL and it’s probably more intense though.

One can always wish. If we get the right players in and show real ambition then he will want to join. It’s all a way for him to say things like this to create some interest. But yeah, might reject us.

I can see us looking at another one. Someone like Gouiri who can play both centrally and as a wide forward. Especially when you take into account how many games ASM has missed too.

On paper they have signed some good players. But they have also spent quite a lot of money in the last couple of years. Digne, Coutinho and Carlos are all close to 30 years old too.
