I’m pretty certain that we will sign a CM. Worrying if we don’t as it could “ruin” our whole season. I think Joelinton will be injured quite a bit going forward as well. My guess is that we sell both Willock and Longstaff and get about 35m for the pair. We have no use for them. (apart from the HG quote) I know Eddie doesn’t want a too high of a turnover with players in/out. But it’s needed if we are to compete on all fronts. I could be wrong but I don’t think he was the one who broke it first. A few weeks ago it was someone who was very reliable but usually more spot on regarding things in the lower divisions. I think the guy went on radio. This name doesn’t ring a bell with the other guy, unless I’ve got it mixed up.

Imo there’s no doubt that Mbeumo is a very good player. My only concern regarding him and the money is that he plays for a very transitional team and he’s not exactly great in general play. We play with quite a lot of transitions ourselves. However, more and more we will play against teams that sit back and try to frustrate us, especially as we evolve and get even better I can only see that happening more often going forward . When teams sit back we struggle at times when it comes to variety and unpredictability and become quite easy to read when we often look to take advantage from the wide areas. Not saying that i wouldn’t be happy with him but I reckon it’s something to keep in mind. Especially if we aren’t looking for a more creative source through the middle. A player that can drag the opposition out of shape to give more space and possibilities to our more direct wide players.
