Yes Haidara didn't get much help from the useless man from Mars, but don't fucking tell me that this was a big reason that Haidara looked poor! I don't know how many times the ball went out on their right hand flank with Haidara failing to get out there quickly enough to pressure Tadic (?), instead he got ages of time with the ball and not even then did Haidara press him well enough despite Tadic having the ball for a few seconds and acres of space to put himself in a good position to cross. On top of that he couldn't handle the ball at all. I was even wondering if he was left footed or not. Lost the ball countless time going forward, or hitting a cross straight at the first man, or him and Obertan played themselves in to a tight corner with their meaningless short passing to each other, and not just one pass. Simply because they couldn't move well enough with the ball and create space for themselves and switch the play to other more open areas. A couple of times Haidara miscontrolled the ball and was just spinning around without knowing where the ball was, only for it to end up in a throw in to Southampton. There was quite a few times where Haidara got the ball and only needed to make a quick simple ball to a team mate, but instead it took to long for him to do this and he ended up passing it straight in to the opposition because they got all the time in the world to press him before he released the ball. Thank God it went out for a throw in for us most of the times. Poor positioning from him before he got the ball combined with poor technical ability got him into avoidable tight positions. I like Haidara, but lets be honest, right now he's nowhere good enough, defensively or offensively.

The times i've seen Shaqiri he has always played out to the right. Has he played a lot out on the left? I know he is left footed.

He misplaced a couple of passes which he could have done much better with, but he's a good passer of the ball in general. Most of all he releases the ball much much quicker than Tiote/Colback which helgs us being more fluid as a team overall. Yeah he might be small but at least he's quite nippy and takes new positions quickly to make himself available for his team mates. Colback is both slow and weak as piss. How many times does get outmuscled in a 1 vs 1? At least Anita manages to win the ball at times because he reads the game better, and most of all is Quick enough to get to the ball before there even is a 1v1 situation. I prefer Anita to Colback every day of the week even if he's not the biggest/strongest lad.

If only we had two quality centre backs and Willems.

Perez and Aarons are much better out wide on the left than Haidara is good at LB. I've been crying for a LB for ages. We should add to both positions really. CB as well (but, but..)

Apart from Sissoko's couple of nice cut back passes and Mars-man's once in a million assist i'm struggling when i'm thinking about if we had any other quality deliveries in to the box during these 95 minutes? How many times was the ball on that left hand side where we failed to get a good ball in there
