Why do people want Ashton?? Good player but injured waaayy too much. Better going for other players instead imo.

Offer Arsenal Zoggy+£6m for Diaby. Would love to have Diaby at Newcastle but that probably wont happen though..

How are we gonna afford to sign two strikers if we sell Viduka and we are going for quality players?? Keep him and go for one striker like him but with some more movement and pace. Imo Carrol cant be our first choice for back up to the new striker if we get rid of Viduka. And keep Butt, but i would still like to see us going for a younger DM who's a better ball player, one for now and the future.

How much do you guys think we can get for Zoggy?? Dont think we can get as much before =( maybe around £5-6m?

Manuel Fernandes would be a good signing for us to replace one of our midfielders if we go 4-3-3 next season also. Wouldn't cost too much since he hasn't played much at all and Valencia have financial problems, and him we could get if we want i think. Was really good in the PL whenever i've seen him. Also young and one for the future who wouldn't cost a fortune. A safer bet than someone like Veloso, and probably alot cheaper and he already knows the EPL and has done pretty well there. I would go for him to replace Geremi or Barton. And try to find a younger better passing DM than Butt and a really creative AM.

Would absolutely love it if we could get David Silva or Villa, but it wont happen, every top club in europe will be after him and Villa.

Upwards of £5m and they can have him. He's been around the ages but never seems to get any better. First team football hasn't really brought him on at all this season. A move to Villa would be a decent deal all round. I agree, if we can get something like £6m+ i would sell him...

Saw an interview with Bilic last night about Croatias chances in the summer and about Modric. He said that he thinks that Modric is already one of the ten best midfielders in the world (AM) Damnit we missed out on him, still cant get over it, god i wish Spurs go down next season =)

I've probably said it hundred times so far as a Newcastle fan, I think we have a bright future to look forward to under Keegan. Even if we dont get Modric, but i really really hope we do. Im quite sure that we wont have to suffer as much as we have done since Bobby left. Cant wait to see which players we will sign and next season and everything. i cannot remember his name but there's a young player that plays for Schalke that is supposed to be really promising from what i've heard from some people back home, i think he's a midfielder. He chose to play for Croatia instead of Switzerland (sp?) after Bilic gave him a call. I think he played for basel before he moved to Schalke...

If we get Modric i will support Croatia as much as my home country =)

if IF we could pull this one off it would send out the signals to the rest of europe that NUFC are ambitious, really ambitious, Modric as a first signing would make it easier to attract other top players, just got home from southeast asia after spending 4 months there, still breathing.....I have a good feeling about this since it's been so quiet around this, this is how it shpuld be done.
