I doubt it very much and if they are then that exemption will be challenged and will be overturned, you can't have it co-existing alongside the free movement of people in other industries. the PFAs and footballers themselves and even the PL clubs are not short of a penny to challenge it thorugh the courts. I just feel the game is going to the dogs...why stop hear..next it will be against EU laws for Celtic & Rangers and Milan etc to be restriceted to trade only in their own countires. Let them join the PL. That is were the money is at. Why bother with Hull Stoke WBA..in fact lets just scrap relegation... When you look at the stats what is the point in the EPL.. or some of the other top leagues? Surely the idea was we have some sort of affinity with our clubs and the countries they are based in? Maybe I'm a dreamer but a 3 way split of a team to HAVE to include local/same nationality/foreign would be the soultion. Touches all bases. Makes it more interesting. Bigger connection. And more importantly takes money slightly more out of the equation...which long term is what football needs to be doing. 1st thing I would change/trial for a ten year spell. Reverse prize money. EPL winners get nothing...zilch...just the trophy and the trappings that come with it. 2nd get the next least amount of money and so on. Leaves the relagated teams with less chance of finacial ruin/freefall which is happening more and more to the the last few EPL clubs. There seems to be a rather fundamental flaw in that plan. Lol yes, could you imagine, the number of own goals scored on the last day of the season. Why finish 12th when we could finish 13th if we lost today Nothing is perfect..but lets face it...in over 25yrs of follwing NUFC I can count on 1 hand the importance of last games of the season...and that is when money is up for grabs for improved postion..so it works both way.... What I am trying to get at is that money should be the last factor when competing in sport...not the biggest...and the only way I can see that happening is to balance out finances as evenly as possibly and help teams at the lower end catch up. The EPL is a stome throwaway from the SPL I'm affraid. How about no pize money...? I don't know.....I'm just fed up of all the repetiton of it all...and I have a feeling KK is not the only thinking this. The only way to remove money from the equation is to make it an amateur sport, do you really want that? Mmm.. interesting...Quick question....what would be the downside? I'm just thinking of a few plus point alound while you do... Less cheating Less corruption Cheaper ST's Less Hype Less overpayed diss-loyal s**ts who want to walk out on 4yr contracts within 6month etc Almost no need for agents Greed Money for failure Southern/North West media spin (debatable) Mmm.. you could be on to something here. But to answer your question... I'm not sure.. would it be such a bad thing..? I suppose all the s**** I've mentioned above makes it what it is... I just feel when your team is a million miles from the peak of it or live in the North East of England... all that s**** can leave a very bitter taste. Why don't you go and watch your local amateur team? I'm guessing it's because they're s****. There's your answer. don´t think it would be funny to remove all the money and get some kind of amateur league. agree go and watch the local team . but do you really need to earn £50k/week? a get around £1k month and I live...

sounds like a interesting idea. though again. why is going to make it happened? and how are we going to get an agreement? but hey we can do like the environment. fuck with that. lets see how long we can go

If you love the competition, wouldn't you prefer the English player to work harder and compete for a spot on the top teams, rather than having it guaranteed to him? Because its the ENGLISH premier league..and we are in England ...and our league is meant to reflect the qualities and defficiencies of England. They would still have to work hard for it. Man Utd almost meet the quota... we are not talking about a major swing here...just a re-addressing of the balance which I think would benefit football and football fans in general. someone that wants to read my post exactly what I feel and what I have been saying in many situations. I started to follow EPL for what it stood for. now that is completely gone and we are not exactly going in the right direction to bring that back...

If you love the competition, wouldn't you prefer the English player to work harder and compete for a spot on the top teams, rather than having it guaranteed to him? no but as it is now every team are so rich that you almost can by who ever you want and why play youngsters when you can buy a swede, dutch, Nigerian etc. youngsters will never get the chance and young people will my lose idols or don´t even start to play because they want have a chance. Not saying that it is going to happened but I hate the idea. I forgot to mention one thing in my post. and that is that I rather, exactly, would have some kind of salary budget or something like NHL. both to make the leagues more competitive and to stop the silly money. it is insane that Owen earns over 1 million in the week to kick on a ball. We normal guys that work for the society? my conclusion is that something has to be done. what and how I don´t really matter but I hope something. I just hate the ideas of some kind of super league there the top league in the country don´t think it is funny any more or that they don´t get what they want. I want to be competitive. and the idea of have a 39th league game and sell the games over the world. in what fucking direction are we heading?! Probably didn´t answer your question so well. but this is just what I think.

Are you a football fan or just a premier league fan?? Think long term. The game is on its arse. Keegan said it himself. I'm not saying FIFA & UEFA get everthing right but I am with them on this...along with agreeing with their stance to never introduce technology/TV replays during play. TBH I don't give a flying f*** about the Lativan Premiership or the Egytian first division. I care about Newcastle United and the English game. And this rule is naive, ill thought out, does nothing to aid NUFC and is purely motivated by the self protectionists in power at FIFA and UEFA. That is the worst idea/wishes I have ever read. FIFA and UEFA don´t hate England. They love football.

Even how much I love PL and English football I can´t understand some people her. Like it is now your are hurting both PL and football in general and I rather see Brambles and Ramages in my English team than 11 Oba Martins (non english player). and I can say I am not a racist. Really don´t understand what EU has to do with football. For me it is a sport, even if you earn a hell lot of money. I am sure you can get some kind of exception for sport or something. Sure English player would be more expensive but isn´t they it now? have anyone heard of youth development? I hate all the oligarchs in the football and I would rather see some kind of limitation of foreign than the direction we are going against now. I love sport for it basics, to compete.

    Arda Turan?

If someone is sitting at insider info I would be glad to know
  13. Would rather go after list two. Seems really strange that it should be so much problems between Keegan and the others according to reports. Everyone should now what was going to happened and they have even has an "clear the air" talk... Keegans player are indeed expensive but £20m would´t either be enough for list two. Young guns are expensive. Also strange that the club wants to have players with good sell on value. Don´t see the reason to buy players and then sell them I am going to wait and see what is going to happened before I judge anything.
  14. Exactly, and I doubt finishing 5th is that different to finishing 10th in many players' eyes either. If it ain't the CL, 5th and 10th is all the same. Eh? What now? cant agree on that. BUT I think it is ridiculas how NINE PL teams can play in Europa. also think they should chance the European format. but that is another story.
  15. played some really impressing football. Newcastle- Doncaster 2009/2010 for gods sake what is it with people saying we will get relegated. and i wonder about the negativity sometimes don´t know if you are joking or not. so to be sure we are driving at the same road I didn´t mean we should get relegated. I meant that Doncaster will get promoted to the EPL 2009/2010
  16. Not even that, doesn't officially open until July 1st. So it isn't even open yet and people are speculating that KK is dragging his heels and therefore potentially f***ing up our chance to sign all these promising youngsters we seem to be linked with but haven't signed yet in the few days since the season ended... You couldn't make it up Commonplace for deals to be agreed well before that, but they only become official on July 1st. Suspect you were well aware of this though already, no? I'm aware clubs can sign players before then, but not many do. How many players have our rivals signed while KK has been dragging his heels, players have turned us down, and our money has suddenly disappeared? Most of our rivals only need one or two players, we need a new squad, half a new 1st team. That's IF you think the 2nd tier teams are our rivals anymore. of course it is frustrating that we haven´t buy someone yet. But I am sure they are working at it. they now the deal as much as we know it. but if the were dragging their feet. well then you could definitely wounder what they are doing in this business. think we should wait until the august 31 before judging them.
  17. Would be really silly to sack KK now. But if the board would. I would´t want to think of what could happened To be honest I can´t even come up with words that would describe the situation that would occur if KK got sacked. It would be an absolutely disaster! Why take him in at the first place? I can´t buy the fact that it would be some promote thing by the board. Of course they know that they would lost all the popularity they have built up by hiring Keegan, for example, if they would sack him now after an so successfully run we have has. The reactions if Ashley would sack him would be even louder when Big Sam got sacked and then I think every would now how bad it would get. But then. What was the purpose to bring back Keegan? The other option that Keegan wants to leave because he can´t agree with the board about transfers is also bollocks for me. I am sure he knew exactly what kind of deal he agree on when he jump on the train, so if there was some tensions between them now someone would´t be keeping their words and that would be worrying indeed. though can´t buy this ethier. Marcelino seems to be a great prospect for the future and he seems to be an interesting name. I would´t have any problems to hire someone like him after Keegan has run out his contract, and I am sure none one her would think anything else either. But now? That would be so stupid. If they wanted someone like Marcelino in the first place they should have think of that before employing Keegan, or they should have said to Keegan that he only would be around the place until the summer even how good the spell he would put in would be. the easiest option would of course be to have gone after someone else until the end of the season and said that he could be replace to the next season. To ship Keegan out now would be even more stupid than Fatty Fred´s choice of manager after Sir Bobby. IF it after all is true that their is tensions between Keegan and the board I would just :'( to know that someone should´t be keep their words would be devastating. But I can´t see that scenario either. but if, they should had to solve that FAST. End of story.
  18. Been s*** for Milan..truley awfull..almost everyone managed to get ahead of him in the selection. Interesting move by fiorentina. gilardino was just brilliant when he played in Parma and the under 21 for Italy a few years ago before he when to ****. He has the talent and I would´t be surprised if he would be great next season. Fiorentina has been able to do this before, like bolton under sam - get players that seems to be finished to play at their best again - and I hope they can do it again next season. Love what fiorentina has managed to do in Serie A the recent years. would be awesome if they could win next year!

  21. A free agent, as back up. Decent deal really, as long as his wages are acceptable. yeah but then, why did we release him? Carr is no near good enough for the top. He could´t even hit the 18-yard box 5 meters away. shocking indeed. There is not a chance that he will sign for one of these teams. Martin O'Neil and David Moyes weren't crack heads last time I checked. kind of what I think too. But would it happen it would definitely indicate that they never will break in to the top 4.
