Agents quote was after the chairman's, never know but unlikely. The chairman just wants the deal done. The player might want to talk to us as well. /clutching@straws
  2. I have a sick feeling in my stomach. I wouldn't trust these cunts to get a player over the line this late in the day.

If we wanted him we had all summer to make a move. Got to put a player off coming here I would have thought. I'd still take him like a shot though.

I think he'll end up at Fulham anyway. They've done all the groundwork whereas we will just appear desperate.

    No. Sewelly made a booboo.

    Is it official?

He's the right type of player. Could be our Luis Suarez if he actually ended up here.

Pathetic that it should come to this. Desperately trying to hijack another club's deal after messing up all our own efforts.
  9. Bollocks. That means if he goes with Fulham it will be too late for us to get anyone else.
  10. Most of our targets are in France, it wouldn't take that long to commute anyway.
  11. Basically, but Sochaux have signed someone, and Auclair on Talksport said the deal could still happen. I wonder what's holding it up then? They want more money?
  12. Bendtner was knocked back by Stoke because his wage demands were meant to be astronomical. I can't see us paying them unless he was just asking more from Stoke because he didn't want to go there.
  13. If it's true that the deal would add up to £17m then yes, it's off.
  14. Auclair knows his shit. Must be a good chance of this going through if he reckons so. Cisse would be nice but I just want this through the door as we clearly are going to end up fucking around if we go down that route.
  15. Seems like Sochaux have shut the door on Maiga and Roux's club say they won't let him leave either. Pay what it takes to sign Cisse and stop fucking around. We're only in this position because we spent so much time running up blind alleys.
  16. What a waste. Surprising that he's decided to join that bunch of fucking cavemen though. Perhaps no one else was interested in him after all. Increases the chances of Crouch moving to Sunderland. If only marginally.
  17. I think we are still hoping that the Maiga deal will go through. If it doesn't there's always the option of paying what it takes to get Cisse here. If we don't take it then we've failed.

    Sunderland...

Hope Crouch takes his time before knocking them back. Don't want them to have time to go back in for a real striker.

It would make sense actually, as he could play left back and cover at centre back which is one of the areas we need cover. Santon could easily be switched to right back. The only way it would happen IMO is if the striker deal is dead as I just don't see us making two big money full back signings otherwise. Courtney is clearly talking out of his arse.
  20. The flaw in your arguement is glaring, Martins was a crock of shit. Despite being a crock of shit we still managed to sell him for £9m whereas our premier striker had to send out brochures to secure a free transfer to sit on Man U's bench.
  21. I was replying to the guy who said Nolan and Barton got the best out of him. If those two were involved in any team with Carroll it would end up being hoofball by design. Even at Liverpool they are saying that every time he plays they end up humping the ball long towards his head. And you are assuming that scousers are saying words that aren't complete self-pitying twaddle? I don't really care what the scousers say since I was saying it when Nolan was still here. Carroll scored more goals last season with his feet than his head. Why don't you tell King Kunny that? I'm sure he'll drop Suarez and Kuyt pronto once he realises where he's going wrong.
  22. More chance of Arsenal signing Smith to be their new midfield enforcer IMO but we can live in hope.
  23. He must be on at least £800/week then
  24. In line to become our best 100k signing of the decade
