  1. If HBA isn't playing then who plays off Ba? Lovenkrands?
  2. I hope Ba gets on the goal trail pretty quickly because he'll quickly become the scapegoat otherwise.

    Alan Pardew

I think he just needs to shut up and get on with picking his Sholas and Lovenkrands. He can say what he wants but the bottom line is we know we were strung along and his job is to dress mutton up like lamb. By all means do that but please shut the fuck up.
  4. If anything Im worse, i gave the bastards the benefit of the doubt, tried to stay with their plan, got twitchy a few weeks back...but its all mapped out how i hoped it wouldn't Same here. What went on yesterday with the Ruiz farce dragged our name through the mud for nor reason at all. Every time I see Shola or Lovenkrands on our team sheet it will feel like a punch to the gut.
  5. I'd love to see how Henderson and co would look without Suarez and Kuyt playing up front.
  6. I was honestly really pissed at our hierarchy until this twat piped up. Just fuck off and concentrate on your own club you fucking charv prick.
  7. Why? It's been obvious to most for months and months that this is what the plan is. Barton is just saying it, nothing wrong with that. It really hasn't. There's no way the club is actively planning to sell Tiote and Krul. Obviously if Chelsea come in with a £40m bid we will probably sell, but the vast majority of clubs are in that position. I am worried about the contracts of the likes of Colo and Jonas though, as they must be on more than we're offering to new players. You and a few others must be living on a different planet if you think that's not the case. It's become quite clear that ANY player has a price on his head and it won't have to be a large amount (as shown by the Enrique departure). Ashley is happy to keep us in the PL while recovering of much money as possible. Barton probably has a better idea of what's happening than us, it's worth listening TBH It would be if he hadn't moved for money reasons in the first place. Piss off you fucking has been.
  8. Fuck Joey Barton. He's a QPR player and getting well paid for it so should just concentrate on his own club. Or West Ham if he'd prefer to be there.
  9. I've never said anything to oppose this. Just the negativity stinks. People can't seem to differentiate the fact aye, Ashley & Llambias are cunts, we've made profit, but are still looking a good prospect this season. Just look at the views of the Villa & Everton fans on here for a bit of perspective, two clubs who we'll be competing with for a top 8 finish imo. And even if we spent another £20m or whatever I'm not sure we'd have made much of a dent on the top 6 anyway. That's not the point though Nut, those clubs have never hid the fact that they were hard up and weren't looking to make big signings. We were strung along we were after a quality striker and ended up being outbid for our 6th choice by a small town club in London on the last day. How can we justify that?
  10. We are doing a great job at scouting promising players for lower profile clubs to cash in on
  11. mongtastic bullshit which we could do without.

    Bryan Ruiz

I would be very surprised if that's the case. More likely they just spotted him first, convinced him to join them and he liked the idea of being massively paid to live in luxury somewhere in West London. Really don't think players have as depressing an outlook on Newcastle Utd as the fans do. Except the ones we've forced out of course. In which case why did we even bother making a last day bid for him?
  13. The bolded bit I have serious issues with. Why do we constantly make stupid bids on the last day when we know fine well that there is no mileage in them?
  14. How can you rate the transfer window a 6,5 when our squad is arguably weaker than it was a year ago and we have made a huge profit on transfers in that period? Because I think we've replaced Enrique with quality, replaced Nolan & Barton with quality, signed a striker but could have done with another, and signed people like Obertan to beafen up the numbers. Nowhere near the doom and gloom you'd think people would make out. Ah honestly fuck this shit. Don't enjoy this forum anymore. Bunch of depressing bastards. Fuck off. I don't really understand why not? If you believe in what we are doing then you should have no problem explaining why. I never believed in signing Kevin Nolan even when he was a hero here but I believed in what I said and so had no problem with arguing my case.
  15. Massive pressure on Ba now. A bit unfair really as Pardew himself doesn't seem to rate him.
  16. Even with the lies and broken promises, we have Krul, Santon, Coloccini, Jonas, Tiote, Cabaye, Marveaux & Ben Arfa who'll make up the bulk of the squad in the near future...is that not reason enough to be optimistic? Last season we had Krul, Enrique, Coloccini, Jonas, Tiote, Barton, Nolan, Carroll & Ben Arfa making up the bulk of our squad. We could have added the rest for about 10 million. That would have given me a reason to be optimistic. I genunly think some people on here would think "oh well, atleast i'll save money on socks!" if they lost a leg, it's alright been posotive, but to hold such a one way optomistic viewpoint on literaly everything that happens cannot be healthy. Couldn't give a flying fuck how much we spent, what the "balance book" is if we create a good squad, we could have done with another striker and centre-back but that squad's still good enough to do well. If Ba and HBA play the majority of games perhaps. If it's Best and Lovenkrands however....
  17. The accounts say that anyway though, no? We know we've made big losses over a long period, and we know that Ashley isn't prepared to subsidise us any more. Anything the club says has to be understood in that context. Er no Ian that's not the point. Everton are up shit creek financially and they are upfront about it. If we weren't serious about signing a striker we shouldn't have pretended it was a priority. How come we matched Fulham's bid only when it was too late to do a deal? Is that any way to conduct business?
  18. That's been the turning point for me. I don't care if we signed Ba and Cabaye, there was absolutely no need for the charade of pretending to sign a striker when there was no real intent there. Cisse? Maiga? Ruiz? Fucking hell man it was shameful. If Ba's the answer then Pardew should probably start picking him ahead of Best and Shola.
  19. Some of those players had no business being at a club like this. If we had any real ambition the likes of Nolan and Barton wouldn't have been here in the first place. Other than that I agree with the sentiment.
  20. This is my take on it as well. While I was happy enough to sign quality players with suspect injury histories that was based on the assumption we'd buy enough players to cover those positions. That hasn't happened and now we are looking short in both defence and attack. If Lovenkrands and Shola are starting games then that automatically reduces any chance of success. And they are.
  21. Do you actually read anyone's post other than your own? Not one person on this board has defended our transfer window/Ashley - some just aren't as negative about it as others. In that case they should be negative. If only for the con trick these lying bastards tried to pull by pretending we wanted another striker when they clearly didn't.
  22. A lot less that it could have if we'd got the all important striker which the club themselves said we still need. As it is, other teams have strengthened at our expense such as Sunderland and Fulham picking up strikers who were available and ready. Mid table at best.
  23. In which case it's Ashley's fault for putting an incompetent in charge.
  24. Well I thought they'd recognise at least that we are massively, massively short in that area and at least make an effort. Bendtner has gone on loan to the Mackems for f***s sake You're forgetting that this regime don't give a flying f*** about this club. Surely even Ashley must realise that not buying a striker means we will be lower down the table and lose out on a lot of money (perhaps even relegation if those around us spend well). He's just gambling that we'll do enough to stay up for the minimum investment. Can't see how anyone can stick up for this regime now. There isn't any defence of this regime. Anyone who does so after the despicable way they led everyone on that we were in for a striker when we clearly weren't in any serious sense of the term is deluded.
