  1. From his tweets it seems pretty clear that he values the old guard above the new arrivals. Joey would be an asset next season if he was prepared to be part of the new look Newcastle but he doesn't seem too sold on the club's view of the way forward which could be a problem. Examples? Try re-reading the threads on here, or the twitter threads. Or the newspapers for that matter. WTF? I have him on my Twitter and have seen all of his updates. Some examples of what you allege please. Which part of what I have alleged do you want clarification on Your Honour?

He's stated publicly, several times how he wants to stay here. He's even been prepared to take a pay cut to do so. So you agree with what I said there? Cool.

  4. What constitutes a big club? When award winning sports journalists can't stop mentioning our club in their lead comment stories for the national rags. Thanks fatty for the public vindication.

It's not lazy journalism it fits in with his brief for the Daily Mail, which is no more than an up market Sun without the tits.

Another prick with similar guff last week. 8. It's a bit long-winded but it does what it says on the tin: chews Fatso's shite article up and spits out the bones.
  9. basically what I just wrote above but better written
  10. I don't usually go along with the "media have got it in for us" stuff but this isn't the first article Samuels has written about Newcastle and they are always in the same vein. It really rankles with him for some reason that we are still perceived as a big club while he supports the most odious club in London. Glad you're happy with Fat Sam and Nolan, now fuck off and thanks for Ba.
  11. At least he recognizes the sheer quality of Enrique who stands head and shoulders above others who have left, much to the outrage of fat West Ham supporting journalists.

    Blaise Matuidi

Based on what? He's not going to cost £13million.

I think the Barnetta speculation is probably a lot closer to becoming reality personally.

Nowt as interesting as baseless speculation, hence the thread.
  15. He'd still be behind at least Torres and the newcomer. Not so sure Drogba will leave either.. Yeah, Chelsea won't count on him scoring the goals, he'll be a bench player at best. The problem is they are probably more than happy paying him 80-90k to sit on the bench or subsidise a loan. I just don't see them selling Sturridge unless the fee is daft. It's certainly not going to be £10million.

Same here. I'll check back when there's some sign that this is more likely to happen. The valuations are still miles apart at this point.
  17. It's not so much the 60k I have a problem with, it's the fact he'll apparently go to the club which offers the highest wage. If that's his attitude I would prefer he went elsewhere.
  18. Was tempted to stick this in a new thread titled "thick as pig s*** pundits" It's too cold for foreigners in Newcastle but it was fine to have a bunch of Spaniards in sunny Liverpool when Rafa was there. Scouse twat.
  19. Bendtner plays for a team that makes as many chances as any in the league but he doesn't finish well enough for me. Good player but not ruthless enough in front of goal.
  20. Bendtner would be a disaster, I hope there's nothing in it.
  21. Why? I can't see Ashley spending that much dough on transfer fees and wages. From the noises coming out of the club we are going to be making a few more signings and even if the fees aren't astronomical the salaries still mount up. It all depends on how much Ashley makes available at the end of the day though.
  22. While I'd love Sturridge here, I don't think we'd be signing all these players if we were going to spend £20million on him. Add to that he's on much higher wages and I just don't think it's realistic. I think Pip's suggestion that we grow the squad year on year is more workable.
  23. Ryan Taylor's got fantastic delivery tbf. If you could just get him to the corner flag with the ball not moving too much and no opposition player within 5 yards we'd see a highly effective player.
  24. That's a factor as well. I wonder what he's on at Chelsea and whether he'd fit into our wage structure where the ceiling seems to be around the 50k mark these days?
  25. Sound advice for Barton that, McKay must be nauseating to deal with. And I can't imagine him giving Joey balanced advice about his career. Doesn't say much for Barton that he's still employing him tbh.
