  1. Or we could buy someone like Wissa and play him with Isak on the bench until he's ready to step up.
  2. Because he would probably happily come to Newcastle if Man U weren't in there. They only put a bid in today.
  3. Said this a few times this summer, I'm sure most people must realise it deep down. We've got a lot of catching up to do to build a legacy like Man U and Liverpool have over the last 30 years.
  4. It's not a great look that every player we try to sign as his replacement is picking the cartel clubs as well. He won't say it publicly but he probably feels vindicated when he sees them turn us down and get the same move he's looking for. We can only turn this around from a position of strength and that's to hold him for another year and bring in a top striker like Wissa who we can use to bench Isak if he's not performing.
  5. Not sure if Hojlund will make it in the PL, but now is probably as good as his value will ever be at £30m. Not that they'd sell him to us for that price. He's a bit of a crock anyway isn't he?
  6. It isn't even about forgiveness, it's about not bending over. We still hold the registration of the striker every club in the country would have. I'm not going to cry over lesser players like Sesko, Pedro, or Ekitke choosing cartel clubs. Isak and Wissa still outgun them, that's the top and bottom of it, and that's still in our hands.
  7. That is why new rules were specifically brought in to stop us. This is a cartel, they don't take huge financial institutions lightly.
  8. He's still got three years of his contract left. We hold, and buy Wissa as a Wilson replacement. I don't really see any better alternatives at the moment. Certainly not pining for inferior players who keep turning us down.
  9. People can call him cunt, traitor, turncoat, whatever. But he's still our player, and Ekitike, Pedro, Sesko etc, are not. So fuck them basically. Right now we only have Osula as an alternative so pardon me if I don't join in the witch hunt just yet.
  10. It's not that much less, and Sesko wants to go there. Still a good deal for them.
  11. well we just have to step to the back of the queue for back up options then.
  12. Yep. We have to have back up options when cartel clubs are in there pitching for the same players.
  13. And even if he has, we have no idea if he has the final say or Leipzig.
  14. Depends on the structure, especially if the information that we offered to pay much more up front is true. But then if Sesko can veto it, then he'll go to Man U.
  15. Difficult to know what to believe with so much contradictory information flying around. It was being said that Leipzig would make the final decision and Sesko would accept it. If we've made the best offer then surely Leipzig will accept that, and Sesko will come here. If Sesko gets to pick then the information that it was Leipzig deciding was a load of bollocks.
  16. Or RB can just accept Man U's offer.
  17. Would be funny if he had mind. They bid and within the hour he's picked them after humming and hawing over our offer for more than a week.
  18. Not really. It all depends on who's calling the shots, Leipzig or Sesko.
  19. That's why I said if it's down to Leipzig because I'm assuming our package is better for them than Man U's. Not only in total, but the way it is structured.
  20. Only thing which might work in our favour is we can pay all of it up front, so if it really is down to Leipzig then I would think we are the leaders here.
  21. For the sake of £2-3m Leipzig will agree with the Man U sale which I am pretty sure Sesko will go for.
  22. Well let's wait until they do, because as it stands all they've offered is £110m, so the only thing I'm sorely tempted to do is tell them to stick it up their arse.
