Exactly. People tend to over-dramatise everything online, but in the world of professional football, these things happen, and players will get past it once everyone is back in the same changing room.

He's a superb striker, the only thing which goes against him is his age. If he was 25 everyone would be gagging to get this done. He's more of a sure thing than Sesko any day of the week.

Howe might think he can fix it. He's been fairly guarded in his comments so far, but I've seen nothing to suggest that he's already decided it's over for Isak here.

Eddie is ambitious, he will always want to keep his best players if there's a way back. He'd want to at least sit Isak down and lay out what his plans are for this season and that our ambition is second to none. He'll be pissed at the suggestion that Liverpool are considered above our station.

Even if this is just speculation, I would hope Leipzig would be giving out this message. Sesko needs to commit like we have and make his mind up.

That's the only scenario in which I see us agreeing to sell him this season, but even then Liverpool would have to come in with an acceptable bid, which I'm not sure they will.

This is what I was saying a few minutes ago. Leipzig have accepted our bid, Man U can't match it IMO, but if they have told Sesko that they want him, he could just wait it out. I think that's why we gave him 48hrs to accept which will expire today. Think it's still 50/50 personally. At least after today we should be in a clear space to move on if he's fucking us about.

I think that's already a given by this point. There still remains a question if Sesko himself will accept it, he could decide to hold out for Man U's lesser offer.

At this point we don't know that Sesko will sign or that we will sell Isak to Liverpool. Still quite a lot needs to happen for the latter in any case.

Wissa would come in if we sell Isak to Liverpool. But I don't see that happening unless Eddie really wants him gone. I can see our owners insisting on Isak staying, plus I think that Liverpool won't stump up enough cash to even make us take it seriously.

Still 4 weeks to go as well. Let's put faith in Eddie and those at the club who have ambition.

£110m is the only bid they could manage. We don't need to accept anything until they put the money on the table. Even then we could tell them to do one....and in my opinion we should.

Feels like a statement to the rest of the PL to me. PIF are showing that we mean business this season. I expect they won't let Isak go either now, neither do I think the thieving scousers will have the money to buy him.

They let him go as well a couple of years ago. It shows lack of character on Trafford's part IMO, whereas Ramsdale bombing up north at the drop of a hat to sign for Newcastle shows massive character and an iron will. We have got the better keeper here.

Was thinking exactly this. What a statement to the whole squad, Bruno, Tonali, Isak....everyone. We aren't here to bow to anyone. This might explain Howe's bullish statements that Isak has to earn the right to train with the squad.

If we truly want to be No 1 we have to believe.

If the scousers won't get anywhere close to £150m I don't see how a sale is possible. Isak and Sesko it is for us this season then.

With a starting bid of £110m they aren't going to go to £150m like. Fuck them.

It's not like it's some hidden knowledge, everyone knows what's going on. But they are good with it for the most part. The cartel clubs are like royalty for the PL, and most other clubs are ok with it.
