I wonder who it was in our hierarchy that decided Paqueta wasn't worth £45m? Or was it either him or Tonali?
-
Fair enough. Sometimes if a player looks like he's struggling to motor you can put 2+2 together and surmise the answer must be 4. There's always a fair chance you might be right.

What makes you think Isak needs surgery? First I've heard of it.
-
Maybe I'm just reading it wrong, but that still seems more like it's aimed at stopping owners loading the likes of Man U or Liverpool with debt, which in principle would be a good thing if they weren't trying to lock out any new competitors to their cartel arrangement.

We can always keep pricing players out of a move but eventually it will just end up meaning we have to sell our really valuable players instead. We had calls for £20m plus for Tripper, did anyone pay it? He'll be 34 this year so his value is dropping. Miggy can bring in £25m of Saudi cash right? Well if that somehow doesn't happen I guess we can always sell Bruno.

I'd be very surprised based on how we've played most of the season.

Fans will always be up and down depending on current form. I would have thought the club will have taken into account this season has been a freak one for injuries and suspensions so they aren't going to judge on the basis of one campaign. My impression has always been that they trust Howe implicitly, especially since he was to all intents and purposes the DoF for a year before Ashworth rocked up. That said, some questions will be there about tactics, use of the squad and if it could have been handled better. We'll have a full squad to play with next time round, and how we perform next season is what Howe will be judged on. Even so PIF would be very reluctant to sack him given the amount of dedication and hard work he's put in. I mean, who would you bring in that would be guaranteed to do a better job?

Let's hope we score at least 3 goals then.
-
At least they're not winning this one.

Players like Garnacho and Hojlund are genuinely good signings among all the dross they've accumulated.
-
That's subjective not objective.

I literally said let's just agree to disagree, and you then insisted it was me who was wrong because you'd watched it with your own eyes.

I think everything depends on how this summer goes re transfers, and also how we start next season. This season has felt like a write off since the January window, but obviously if we can get into Europe that will give all our players including Bruno a lift.
-
Yeah I looked it up as well with mine. Maybe you just lack vision.
-
Let's just agree to disagree. I thought if Almiron looked up and played it earlier, he could have passed inside the defender.
-
I thought there was a chance to hit the ball inside the defender rather than outside which would have put Isak running onto the ball instead of sideways. Even if he traps the ball - which he did - he still needs to turn to face the goal. Maybe he could have incorporated his first touch with a swivel to get him in, I think that's a question which could be asked, but it would have been a real piece of skill if he'd pulled it off.
-
I thought he was really good yesterday, there won't be any shortage of takers if we have to sell. Hopefully next season the squad will be better equipped to deal with injuries, and of course hopefully we won't have anywhere near as many.

Good move for everyone, not too far from home so Sean won't feel too homesick. Here's hoping Leeds get promoted.
-
The pass was straight at him, because of that it needed an extra touch to set the shot up, and it would have needed to one of those first touches which got Isak a quarter turn to face the goal. It was on, but not the easiest to pull off. I always think Isak is most dangerous when he's running onto a through ball.
-
There was more than one occasion today where he was on the shoulder of the last defender just waiting to be played in, and we just couldn't find the cross or the pass beyond that defender. If and when he gets higher quality supply lines he'll score more goals. Let's just hope it's with us.
-
Fair...but I wasn't seeing the massive spaces to run into for the opposition, we just didn't close the shooter down quick enough.
-
I think we've looked a lot better with this shape tbh, but you can't legislate for two such soft goals. We had opportunities, just couldn't find the final pass, then we put the ball in the net for them....twice.
-
Murphy with a nice idea there, just not enough on the cross.

Just have a go lads. Get after them!
