Pancrate and Guthrie have produced a bit down the right, it's hardly been a disaster so far.
-
Everyone's slating Pancrate but it's not him failing to get a grip in midfield. Can't remember the last time we bossed a game.
-
Jonas and Enrique tearing the full backs a new arsehole so far.

Hughton should be instructing our lot to take them on at every opportunity. Try and draw some mistakes. Shame Hughton didn't start Routledge considering Palace's state atm.

Destroy them with no mercy for their fans or their crippled bench. Like the great Dennis Lillee used to say, never give a sucker an even break. -
f*** that. It's their job to back their chosen manager and they're doing it 12 months too late. They're getting no pat on the back from me. beter they do it now than never though, it does not make up for the mess they've put the club in, but they seem to be moving in the right direction. They're still going to need to do a lot to be regarded with anything other than contempt in my eyes. Signing two decent Championship standard players, one on emergency loan and the other for a sum of around £1 million, is all well and good but it's not exactly groundbreaking. If they want to really get back in the fans good books they could start by putting in a serious bid for Moses (player or prophet, either would do). Show that they've got some ambition and they want to right the wrongs. I doubt it though. These signings are fine for this division, yes it would be grand to get the best of the best but given the past transfer windows this has been not half bad. If we go up I'll be interested to see what we spend as in the Premier we definitely will need to bring in quality players.

We could do with another forward rather than more defenders tbh, and if we're being greedy a central midfielder with lungs would be nice.
-
Someone should tell Crystal Palace's owner it's his job to back his manager rather than sink the club into administration and giving the fans the V's. You say someone HAS told him? And his answer was what? Oh yes. "fuck right off and stick your club up your arse"

Apart from the fact that we have no right back and we could end up putting out a lop-sided team in order to cover that position. -
Routledge is Hughton's first big test as a manager. Having worked with him at Spurs there's no real excuse if this move fails.
-
The thing I like most about Williamson is that he's not Andy O'Brien.
-
What are you expecting to get for £1m? Arjen Robben?
-
What do you class him as then, a veteran? A right winger. That's a right cop out

I think that's the key. I have no doubt that he's not a top class player, hence brummie's view is bound to be more critical than ours. Hope no one expects the finished article here, what we've bought is a young player with pace for that money. We aren't going to get Luis Figo at that price so we should be patient.

Forest are reported to have bid £2m. What side does he play on, right or left?
-
Unfortunately our promotion isn't going to be decided on one player. Just like your manager wouldn't entertain the idea of signing Butt, Smith, Nolan, Taylor, Lovenkrands, Coloccini, Ameobi or Carroll, I doubt Routledge will be the straw that broke the camels back.
-
and brummie always laid into Reo-Coker as well which I didn't think was 100% warranted. Maybe it takes relegation and spending 6ok a week on other teams cast-offs to appreciate players values with a level head. I appreciate you all want him to do well, but honestly, trust me, he's fucking shite. You think Milner's crosses hit the first man all the time, at least he tried to get a cross in, Routledge is useless, if he can't knock it past the defender and beat him for pace, he hasn't got a fucking clue. What's more, he's got a dreadful attitude, slouches around doing nothing and hiding from the ball. When Marlon signed for you, I was quite honest in saying I tohught he'd do well at that level. Routledge won't though. He's not good enough. Sorry. As for NRC, can't pass three yards, blissfully unaware of the game going on around him, runs into brick walls. Has the first touch of a rapist. Routledge is worse, though. I think it's all about balance when it comes to make up of a team. Most of our players have the first touch of a rapist other than the spent fuckers your manager wouldn't consider in a month of Sundays. When MON wants to sign Smith, Butt, Ryan Taylor or Nolan we can discuss this further. Otherwise it's pretty much redundant really.
-
I would think Forest's current form has probably killed any potential deal in all honesty.
-
Probably because he's quality and knows it. Still, maybe we should take the word of some arsehole fans as to what a wanker he is before we decide he's not good enough.

Liverpool have been hiring foreign managers for the last few years now. With their lack of recent success surely they are in the best place to hire a young English manager with potential and make a stand. Or even an experienced English manager. Whatever happened to the Anfied boot room?
-
Pretty sure with that much they could secure enough funding to buy the club right now. Is this the dawn of a bright new day? Probably not.

One thing I am pretty happy about is that our signings so far have been relatively young player who are hungry to prove themselves. I'd far rather give out decent length contracts to players like this than over the hill "stars" looking for one last pay day.
