    FAO Sam Allardyce

Reading that, it's like waking up from a long, morbid dream. It's so refreshing to hear. Not because it sounds good but because it's the best approach we could take anyway with these players. We have looked awful when we've tried to sit back this season, we just aren't cut out for it. We will look much better letting our players play their natural game, even if we lose.
  2. As I said, we already have 5 - 7 pts on them. I know which points total i'd rather have. depends on what their fixtures are like. I'd be surprised if their run-ins are as difficult as ours, so I wouldn't get too complacent just yet. If they've played half of the season and are shit, why will playing the same teams again make them less than shit? I don't get it. When shit teams play each other, one of them will get points regardless of them both being shit. Which is why we need to pick up points and considering our fixtures aren't the easiest, it might not be straightforward. It's not likely to happen but there is enough reason not to take anything for granted.
  3. That means they'll be picking points up as well though...

  5. I think Keegan's brand of football will make the likes of Zog and Martins look 10 x the players they have been under Allardyce. I'm one of those on here who didn't slag Dyer's footballing ability either because I knew what we'd be like when he left.
  6. Avoiding relegation is the only priority. Keegan's swashbuckling football will probably catch fire next season, but it's generally footballing teams that get dragged into the mire if things go wrong. I think we should be ok with the goals of Martins, Owen and Viduka if they can stay fit.
  7. I do agree with this. Tough fixtures + trying to switch to passing football after Sam's devolution could be tricky. The matches where we needed to play good football have been squandered to some extent.

It does make me wonder if Keegan has even had a decent look at Beye playing for us?
  9. The Fat Bastard contrived to pull the plug on one of Souness's better transfer targets, Anelka for £8m, then somehow splurged £10m on Luque instead. Someone must have made a few quid out of that one... What's Fat Fred's son doing these days anyway?
  10. The only bit that would concern me is where he reckons Keegan used to burst into tears on the bus after defeats away from home. Sounds like shite though, otherwise I think it would have got out before now.
  11. Yes. Are you reading this NE5? Is it clear now? Just repeating this in case anyone missed it.
  12. Yes. Are you reading this NE5? Is it clear now?
  13. What are you on about? Does the fact that NE5 avoided only this question give you a clue? I can spell it out if you like. No. It means that I actually thought the same as Mick ie "wtf are you on about" read above explanation again (even though you know exactly what I am saying).
  14. I honestly don't know what you're on about, I wouldn’t have asked if I did. Ok. The press have been making a big issue of Keegan being a quitter since he got the job. If you were Keegan, or a Newcastle fan, would you appreciate Shepherd suddenly telling the world that Keegan had given him 5 resignation ( resignation = quit) letters during the glory years proving THEM ( the Press) right?
  15. I have concerns that's what he was good at, and anything he has learnt and tried to accomodate since then does not work for him so well. The first time Newcastle came up under Keegan we surprised the hell out of the opposition who didn't know what to do with us. When he brought City up in a similar fashion they were not so much of a threat in the top division as we had been... Was he able to compete for the top players when he was at City?

    Today's matches.

Well HTL didn't like him, but then he preferred the silky skills of Lee Bowyer.

  18. NE5, you are a Keegan fan like any other right minded geordie. You tell me whether leaking Keegan's resignation letters to the scum/press puts the fat bastard on our side or the scum?
  19. as i have also pointed out. Nor was it his idea to appoint him in the first place. Don't expect anybody to even try to understand a clear fact though, as it doesn't misrepresent the fat bastard Which fat bastard was it that called geordie women dogs? The same fat bastard who was leaking Keegan's resignation letters under his tenure this week?
  20. Read between the lines. Keegan's upping the ante, both for Arsenal and for us. What this really amounts to is 'give us your best shot otherwise you lose. If Wenger doesn't play his kids it's because he's afraid of losing.
  21. agree about Milner and Duff, made very little happen, tho i actually thought Owen was the worst player. it would help if they just stuck to their positions, out wide. At one point yesterday you had Ameobi wide crossing to Duff in the middle.

    A bit like Geremi then.

    Bolton - a warning

Or they might just have got thrashed, like Stoke when they tried to have a go.
  24. For those who weren't around last time, this is what we have been missing. Pure gold.

    Bolton - a warning

Yeh, give me that total football with zero goal attempts anyday. Look lads, he's still here. That's how boring Bolton are. Have pity.
