People moan about Tino's lack of finesse, but his pace at the back is massive from a defensive POV.

Looking forward to seeing Barnes starting after a long time. Hope he grabs this with both hands and terrorises Brighton's defence.

I think being rested will be great for his game. Not only to keep him fresh, but also a reminder that you are only as good as your last game.

I mean players who are available, even Longstaff. Not to use every week you understand, just as rotation to give players a rest and keep them motivated. Rafa did this to some extent.

We keep getting people saying we should go full strength for every fixture though, and in my opinion, this is partly what has led to us looking jaded and playing at 60% in some games. For me full strength means picking a side which can run for 90 mins and give everything. We should have used Miley more for example, and we absolutely should go with Wilson or Osula if there's any doubt over Isak. I thought it was daft keeping him on for 80 mins against Forest when we were 4-1 up at half time.

I think it's more important that we don't risk players who aren't 100% fit, and put out a hungry side tomorrow. If we go out we go out, but at least we don't endanger the rest of our season.

They gave 100%, that was the main difference. We had a few too many players leaving stuff to others. Just because you don't have Joelinton and Botman doesn't mean you just let them walk in 4 goals.

He's been resting for a year tbf, two starts in a week shouldn't be too much of a stretch. I think Howe would rather play Isak, will depend on if he's still feeling the groin. I doubt he would start Osula.

He looks at his best when he can put in a burst of speed. He's slow over distance, but he can usually do quick bursts to get him past players. But if he's fatigued than he's just slow everywhere, and that's where he is at the moment. He looks jaded to me, we should be rotating him more.

This is where I'm at as well. I think it's unreasonable to expect higher than 7th, but with Man U and Spurs having disastrous seasons, 5th and CL looked more than on a month ago. It would be disappointing if a club like Forest or Bournemouth finished ahead of us.
