  1. Went for £120-140m. Think we'll get around 5 players in for that, with a couple of them being real top rank signings.
  2. I should want City to win, but the thought of them doing the treble does make me feel slightly nauseous.
  3. To think where you were headed under Anfield legend Stevie G.
  4. Yeah that's their biggest weakness, if they had someone with a bit of pace up front they would be really dangerous on the break.
  5. Yep. They look a class below City man for man, but kind of typically for Italian sides, they look well capable of finding a way to neutralise and win.
  6. Then what was the point in buying him?
  7. Two big signings in a transfer window is pretty decent unless you're Chelsea, and if the bargains turn out to be anything like Pope I'll be happy with that.
  8. If Liverpool sign Mac Allister, Thurame and Kone, they will have pretty much replaced their entire midfield.
  9. I'm not interested tbh, since I think we'll be buying 3-5 players who will make us significantly stronger regardless of what the journalists are speculating the budget might be.
  10. That's why the next price they quote will be £65 million. Leicester are the creme de la creme negotiators.
  11. Honestly at this stage it would be better if journalists just went back to name dropping their close friendships with local players like the much venerated Alan Oliver used to. Still better than plucking fake budgets out of your arse.
  12. Boils your piss like (keeping the theme of today going).
  13. Pretty sure at least one Priveleged 6 club has been linked to him, Man U I think.
  14. I do find these type of links tiresome tbh, same goes with the other lad Osinhem. When the world's most glamorous and richest clubs are fighting for them, we have to accept we are not there yet, at least not with FFP hurdles stacked in our path. The good news is we have tremendous leadership and coaching at the club, so we are in a position to buy potential or similar players and make them look BETTER as a collective than the individual superstars we are talking about. Again, just reference the same superstars when they are playing for England.
  15. I'm not surprised to see Tiote had such great pass percentages at all, a lot of our fans were probably more impressed by Shelvey-esque hollywood ball types at the time. Not that I blame them in a time where we relied on a touch of magic for our odd goal here and there.
  16. I wouldn't begrudge him it, but it would make me think the Leicester fans who have been slagging him off for being half arsed might have a point. If he was a foreign player I might understand the attraction of London, but I just think he should have football ambitions as well, and we are going places, Spurs aren't. Again, nothing against a player choosing lifestyle first, it just means he's not suited for us.

  18. I think we'll pay it if he's as good as we think he is. Why wouldn't we? We aren't at the stage yet where we can buy the players the current elite clubs are in for such as Rice or Mount.
  19. It might just be his personality. Maddison might be the Bright Lights Big City type, maybe he really wants to be in London. Which means he's the wrong player for us anyway.
  20. Miggy would be a superstar over there tbh. I'm assuming we'd probably sell him for £50m or something daft as well, so could work out well both ways.
  21. Exactly. I'm sure we'd take Maddison at the right price, but at the wrong price, Szoboszlai just starts looking better and better value.
  22. It's just Leicester being arseholes, probably still miffed at going down with a bunch of superstars on their books. They are trying to get the best possible fee for Maddison but they aren't getting £50m from anyone, not with a year left on his contract.
  23. Levy is a lot of things, but he's never struck me as the over-paying type.
  24. Leicester's strategy of holding onto players running down their contract worked out so well for them last season.
