Which is fair enough tbh, the best sides do tend to play a back 4 in the Premier, but they have the players to do it.

Longstaff will be there to stiffen up the midfield I guess, giving Shelvey and JoeL some licence. Willock's attitude is suspect at the moment so presumably can't be relied on.

Honestly I seriously doubt it. He could have done it with the players we've got already.

If you are going 4 at the back you need proper defenders, so very pleased to see Dummett back in there.

I think we need a minimum of 4 signings, 2 of which we've already got, ideally about 6-7 tbh. An understudy striker, LB, 2 CB's and a CM. As for 3 at the back, our current squad is more suited to that IMO, yet Howe still insists on a back 4. So I don't see why he would buy players specifically for a formation he doesn't use.

Big for us that, assuming he's 100% fit and not just being patched up and sent out because we've got no other senior keeper.
