Every morning he should write down his thoughts and then do the opposite in training. Player should listen to what he says and do the exact opposite. Wouldn't those two things cancel each other out?

I like how it's taken Pardew abandoning his entire footballing philosophy for us to produce a good attacking display.

Deserves credit for one decent 10 minute spell in one first half this season. Have to hand it to Jon, he has a hell of a positive outlook on life. Can just picture him on the sinking Titanic, being dragged down to his certain death, telling everybody in earshot that the first part of the journey was actually quite nice.
  5. Looking forward to seeing him link up with Cabaye. (Theoretically, of course. I'm sure one of them will end up playing left wing when they do play together next.)
  6. Fresh legs in order I think, hopefully Pardew does it soon rather than waiting for us to run out of steam.
  7. Agree with you, but the attack hasn't been a positive IMO. Attacking that leaves you that vulnerable, and requires your centre-halfs to do laps up and down the pitch for 45 minute straight isn't a positive. Aye, I meant more so that the intent to try and attack was some sort of positive. The way we've gone about it has been absolutely laughable and reeks of a manager who has no idea how to play attacking football... but I didn't want to just moan.
  8. I think we've tried to have a go at them, so that's some sort of positive. The problem is that we're all over the shop as a result, City could easily have had four in that half. Can't believe we're legitimately in a relegation battle this year.
  9. Fuck sake turn on a stream and he's in on goal immediately. http://www.gifsforum.com/images/gif/i'm%20out%20of%20here/grand/seinfeld-George-Costanza-im-out-of-here-eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3-345.gif

Pardew reckons Reading are quality though. "It's a shame for Reading because they do need a win and they didn't get the result they deserved. I was impressed with them. Their intensity and the quality they've got will see them all right this season." "Reading gave us a going over today, I have no worries about them staying in this division."

Pretty obviously took a deflection like.

I do agree that the intention was better today, we tried to keep it on the deck and pass it more than we have in most games I've seen this year. Hopefully we keep at it. Have a hard time saying we were actually good tonight though. We didn't create any real chances and honestly never really looked like we would. The team still has absolutely no width and our movement in the final third is non-existent. It's an improvement yes, but when an improvement constitutes finally doing something that has been ball-achingly obvious for months now then questions need to be asked.

I agree that we probably won't be getting rid of him. He's exactly the kind of yes man that Ashley wants, unfortunately. If we were to get rid though I'd hope we'd look to a relative unknown from the continent to be his successor rather than try to get another Premier League retread.

He'll always go for the more direct option whenever it's feasible to do so. Until Marveaux makes himself undroppable like Ben Arfa did he'll spend most of his time on the bench.

More reason for Marveaux to be on the pitch to help him out on the creative front. Front three of HBA-----------Marv ---------Ba--------- plz. 4 luv uf dog plz.
