  1. Didn't see the first goal but wasn't the left back (dunno who it was, didn't care to look at the time) too deep and playing the guy onside for the second. Obviously Williamson is shit anyway and i'm not trying to defend him, I don't know why I even posted this tbh... just curious. I'm fully in favour of blaming the useless gimp for both goals regardless.
  2. Well it'd be easier than from Australia, wouldn't it. http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx284/TheWacoKidd/black_kid_whoa.gif Fucking hell. Scrolling down the page, knowing this gif was coming in response to that post, was amazing.
  3. This was incredible. So incredible that I'm going to let it slide that you've implied that you're Bruce Willis. You happy to be Sgt. Al Powell then yeah?

    Sammy Ameobi

Clearly a raw youngster who needs regular games at a lower level. Throwing him into a shit team and expecting him to look anything other than shit is ridiculous. I don't know if he'll ever amount to much as an NUFC player, but anyone slagging him off needs to have a word with themselves.
  5. We might actually win something one day if we actually win cup games. And fuck that, quite frankly.

    Alan Pardew

Can't wait to hear him spend the entire post-game complaining about the Shola decision. Sick of his shit like, I'd be delighted to see him gone.
  7. Scored some great goals for us, fair play to him. In a few months I'll have forgotten he ever played for us though. Chelsea is the perfect club for him, hope his career goes to shite there.

    Loïc Remy

Debuchy and Remy would be the acceptable minimum imo, especially considering we should have signed one (probably both, but not necessarily Remy) in the summer. In an ideal world, yes. Think we'll have to accept that squad improvement is often going to be slow and frustrating under the current ownership though. So when we make any progress I'll be happy, deflating as that is in some ways. Regardless of our needs I think we have a set value for each transfer target and if the prospective sellers won't come down to that number then we simply won't budge and will go without. I personally wouldn't have been at all shocked if Ba had left and nobody came in this January. I'm sure they'll have their few select targets and will make some bids but if they can't get a player they really like for an amount of money that they think makes sense then they'll be willing to walk away with nothing. For instance I don't believe that we've gone back with any sort of improved offer for Debuchy this January, just that Lille have dropped their demands and we now can get him for what we deem good value. It's a strategy that makes sense in a lot of ways. A smaller shopping list will generally mean it's harder for a player to get onto it, so when we do buy someone you expect that he'll be someone we really like. Aside from Obertan (and even he's not a lost cause just yet) nobody we've actually paid any money for since Pardew arrived has come in and proved themselves a bad investment. It also ensures that the club should operate much better from a purely business standpoint and might even be profitable at some point. (I'm not overly arsed about this, but I can see why the people who own it would be.) The drawbacks are obvious (what happened last summer, basically.) Oddly enough, I also don't think it's inconceivable that we'll walk away with Debuchy, Remy, a CB and maybe even another one on top of that this January either. Nobody really expected Cisse to come in last January and with the way we were cruising along in the league 12 months ago it would have been very easy to do nothing in January. But a player they really wanted became available for what they felt was good value so they pulled the trigger. That's not likely though, simply because we're a lot tighter with our money than a lot of clubs and more often than not our valuations won't be enough to entice clubs to sell us the players we target. Remy falling out of favour at his club is something that might just be enough to get this one over the line though, so fingers crossed.
  9. One would have to assume so, yes. Very worrying if true, would be shit if there's been some sort of fallout within the club between Colo and either Pardew or some of the other players.

    Loïc Remy

I'm sceptical, this seems like an altogether much too sensible thing to do. Debuchy, Remy and center back with Ba leaving would be an immense window, even with no CB I'd be thrilled tbh.
  11. Ah here. Seems a lovely fella and it's always nice to have such a threat from set pieces but in general he's fairly shite.
  12. Ben Arfa, players like him are what make football worth watching.
  13. I think it's fair to say he hit a bit of a purple patch when he first arrived here. He's probably not ever going to be that player for us again... but i don't believe for a second that if used correctly he can't be a very effective Premiership footballer. A large issue with him is that he gets caught in possession far too much. His first year or so he was tremendous at winning the ball in the middle of the park then twisting and turning his way out of trouble and releasing it to a teammate. Problem is that now teams have gotten wise to him, they know he'll try and hold onto the ball and try and dribble his way out of tight spots. So they press him and far too often he gets caught in possession which is extremely dangerous for a player playing his position. There were glimpses of this even in his early days here, remember that goal Blackburn scored against us at St. James where he dribbled the ball basically into our own box and got dispossessed and they scored? As a pure ball winning midfielder he's still got a lot to offer IMO. We look noticeably softer in the middle when he's absent, he presses players brilliantly and breaks up a lot of passes. But the fact that he's become such a liability in possession is negating this. Teams have changed the way they play against him and he needs to adapt to it. He's a poster boy for the fact that we clearly don't put a lot of time and effort into planning what we'll do as a team when we have the ball. If we did he'd be instructed to release the ball as quickly as possible when he wins possession, play a very simple game and hold his position in the midfield and leave the attacking to the players who actually have some quality on the ball. Then when the other team has the ball that's where he comes into his own. Is he blameless in it all? No, but like a lot of our players right now he'd look a whole lot better if our manager had a clue how to get the best out of him.

    Shola Ameobi

The funny thing is that we've stumbled upon a use for him this year. I'm actually relatively pleased with the idea of him being on the bench as an option to throw on for 15 or 20 minutes at the end of games. He seems to relish playing against tired defenders and he's actually very good in the air these days. As a starter though, fuck. Just a vacuous lump of shite that makes the whole team worse. Says a lot about Pardew that he's thick enough to start him. Could easily have moved Cisse into a central role and started Ferguson or Sammy out left, or pushed Marveaux wide and brought Bigi in. Not only does that make the team better but it gives us a decent option off the bench late in the game. He should never start a game for this club again, at any level.

    Alan Pardew

If Cisse plays anywhere other than central again I'll hunt the cunt (Pardew) down and kill him.

  17. That stoppage time was embarrassing, we hardly touched the ball.
  18. Can't fucking believe he didn't square it for Cisse late on. Needs a slap for that in truth, cost us a point.
