A week to heal, three more to get his confidence back?
-
If I didn't hate Pip so very, very much I'd be inclined to comment on what a nice pair of posts those were.

Hard on the lad, had his best game for us against Stoke. Excited to see Marveaux get a proper go though, hopefully he'll make the most of it.

So Lee Ryder is Christmas Tree then? Makes absolute sense.
-
"it's our time with the fixture computer now." Makes it sound like some depraved fetish.

Was really encouraging to see him actually run at the full back with confidence last night, hopefully that assist will have given him a bit of a boost. Shame he didn't put away that chance late on, was a decent effort and had it gone he'd have been buzzing off his face going into the Everton game next weekend.

He's a glorious, glorious man. Great display last night.

Gonna be an interesting one. We're a fantastically well organised team at the moment, great spirit and togetherness about us too. I'd like to see us put together a really good performance at home though, one where we pin a team back for long periods and look genuinely threatening and play some good football in the process. The Wigan game we really struggled to create much when the onus was put on us to take the game to them, the Fulham game was a bit similar as well. Only game we've really pinned a team back was Blackburn, and honestly they looked a complete mess that day. I know Everton are a good side, but we're at home and absolutely flying at the minute so I'm hoping we can really go out and assert ourselves on them and play the game in their half for the most part. Have a feeling we'll nick it 2-1, but could really go either way tbh.
-
Anyway, not much to say that hasn't already been said tbh. Colo, Ba, Jonas and Guthrie were the pick of the bunch, but not a single poor performance from anyone really. Cabaye may have been our worst player on the night, amazingly enough. Brilliantly done, great time to be a Newcastle fan.

Even their penalty was fucking anti-football, just blast it as hard as you can down the middle.
-
Looked like the player you always thought he could be last night. Seemed in good shape, focused and committed which has rarely been the case the last few years. Hopefully he's got it together and can become a good squad player going forward, the talent has always been there.

Even their penalties are anti-football. Horrible soft decision like.

Yeah, Obertan for life!!

It's those caps he wears man. Hiding something. Fact. -
One of them is probably Hoilett to be fair. One of them is probably Hoilett to be fair. http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/1017/2m3mdf4.gif

Dalglish. Guy should become a lawyer. "Your honour, on the night of January 17th my client was in a business meeting with several people who can vouch for his whereablouts. He did not rape anyone that night, and therefore can not be a rapist. I acknowledge the CCTV footage of him raping all those women on other nights doesn't look good... but I ask you again... if he is in fact a rapist, then why didn't he rape anyone on the night of January 17th?"

If Obertan starts this one I'll start to think he was promised first team football to come here, Marveaux deserves a go with Obertan playing so poorly recently. Ben Arfa will start if Best is out then I'd guess, hopefully there'll be an improvement on the Blackburn game. Confident we'll give it a good go, gonna be tough but I think we'll hold our own if Taylor and Tiote are good to go. -

Jesus, what a horrible attitude. 9 games without a defeat so far, great team spirit and actually playing some good stuff at times. But no, "Fuck it, CBA we're clearly gonna lose." Agree it'll be tough, but come on man. -
Chris Herd, Agbonlahor's break away a minute earlier was just as shit. To be fair, Bent who was up in support did just fall down and leave Agbonlahor completely isolated.
