Seriously though, if we let him walk because we're not willing to pay him more than the other players in the squad then it'll be criminal. He's worth more to us than any other two of them (barring any combination of Cabaye, Ben Arfa and Tiote maybe) put together, so I don't see why his pay can't reflect that. If any of the rest of them have a problem with it tell them to play absolutely flawlessly for two years and then they'll get a similar deal.

Jonas is clearly a great natural athlete, fit as a fucking fiddle. Comparing him to Nolan is laughable.

Fantastic, well deserved for him too. Never be a superstar, but will never let you down either. Delighted.

http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=631640 We're fucked when they get Mourinho like.

Great start to the season this.

Aye, woke up with a headache and a sore arse. You'll have a great time with Chez, Mimi.

Will be gutted if he doesn't get a new contract like. Absolute class act, reads the game to perfection. His game has never really been based around speed and strength either, so he should have plenty of good years left in him. Can understand the board wanting a wage cap of some sort, especially when it comes to signing new players. But surely Colo should be worth paying over the usual max wage for, he's just fucking immense.

Great win, quality performance. If Ben Arfa can stay fit and be even half as good as we all hope he is we're going to have a very nice little team for ourselves. Cabaye and Tiote are looking like the best CM partnership we've had in a long time, compliment each other so well. Colo is magnificent, and Taylor alongside him is playing as well as he's ever done. Very strong spine. Great to see Ba get off the mark too, his first goal was absolutely top class. Good stuff.

Problem, Shakfag?? http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01940/demba-ba_1940462c.jpg

Happy enough to have him on the bench tbh, should be getting at least half an hour though (throw him on at half time if we're losing). If he can't play a full 90 yet then it's better to have him on against tired legs than starting him and having to take him off after an hour.
-
It's class like. We signed him, everyone agreed it was pretty much a cert that he'd be a class and then he comes in and is immediately fucking class. Looks to be the best ball playing central midfielder we've had in a very long time, pleasure to watch so far.

To the tune of 'Baa Baa Black Sheep'... Ba Ba Demba Ba Y u no score goals!!

at the last page of this thread, for a host of different reasons.

agree with that, i like the players we have - all seem to want to play for the team and pulling in the right direction, good s***! And the players we don't like are almost out the door god, can you imagine when smith fucking leaves this summer? sweet jesus that'll be good Said it before, the day Smith officially leaves I'm making a party thread where we get hammered and celebrate him being finally gone.

Always nice to wake up to a win, sounds like it was class.

Aye, will be a tough decision for Pardew nominating his "official long range shooter guy" on the teamsheet each week. Guess he'll have to see how they look in training!

just don't believe that anymore, some variation of the club being cheap and available then looking to improve on his money makes more sense to me the "good fun" bit stinks of bullshit to me, he's never ran the club that way since he bought it...alls he did was drink beer in the stands a few times and wear a Smith shirt how was Japan by the way? Mint. It's like Korea only with some sort of thought put into it's design and the occasional clean-up. Sorry Oldtype.
-
Really think he decided to buy us on a bit of a whim because he thought it'd be good fun owning a football club. I'll bet he regretted it pretty quickly.
-
Reckon they'll be painting advertising onto the grass on the field of play within ten years. Can just imagine a massive sports direct logo in the centre circle.
-
Fair play to the cunt.
-
Think there'll be a national holiday to mark Ji's goal? They'll at least rename Chuseok in his honour I'm sure.

Go to bed man.

Cabaye looks like he'll be a great player for us, but I'm still more excited about Ben Arfa. Both of them paying together is the most exciting thing of all though Makes a change not to be pinning all of our hopes/optimism on the fitness of one foreign gem Isn't that pretty much what we're doing though? Love what I've seen from Cabaye so far, but if he's got two of Ba, Shola, Best and Lovenkrands starting up top ahead of him he's not going to do much damage tbh. Cabaye AND Ben Arfa That's my point though, without some sort of quality in front of him I fear Cabaye won't be as effective as he could be.
