  1. McShane is so bad it's unbelievable.
  2. No you wouldn't mate, trust me.
  3. The problem with Nolan for me is that he shows no interest at all in getting on the ball in midfield, not that he's unfit. His instinct is to get forward and try and get on the end of knockdowns from long balls, which is a major reason why we've been so "direct" all year. He's quite a clever player and a decent finisher, which is why he'll get you goals, but he's a complete hindrance to any team attempting to play the ball forward on the deck. Allardyce's Bolton was the perfect setup for him. Two central midfielders beside him that allowed him to get forward all the time, big target man CF to help create chances for him. In a 4-4-2, however, he leaves far too much on the plate of his partner in the middle of the park.
  4. Hope Rochdale's season falls apart.
  5. Man U - Rochdale - Swindon - Norwich Fiver returns just under 20. Also had five on Man U, Barca, Rochdale, Grimsby, Bury and a draw in the other CL game. Fiver returns almost 200 on that.
  6. Can't believe Dave was actually beaten to the punch. Has that ever happened before?
  7. Then you're getting punished for genuinely being hurt, which isn't really fair at all. There are literally no drawbacks whatsoever I can think of to just letting the physios come on to treat an injured player while the play is still ongoing.
  8. It's amazing that physios still have to wait until the ball goes out of play before they can come on to treat an injured player. It would solve this issue immediately if they could just come on immediately when a player goes down, with the added bonus being that playacting dickheads who writhe around on the ground with nothing wrong with them when they don't get a free-kick would only be hurting their own team. It was lunacy that they hadn't changed that rule 10 years ago.

    14 players

That's probably the worst idea I've heard in my life, to be fair.

  11. Slapped a whopping £2.41 on Valencia, Rotherham and Kaiserslautern. Having an odd number in my balance always bothers me for some reason, have to bet as soon as possible to get it rounded off to a nice flat figure.
  12. I always reckoned Quaresma would get kicked to fuck in the Premiership.
  13. How hard can it be to make a jersey with black and white fucking stripes? No stupid little patch on the right shoulder for some reason. No predominantly white/black shoulders. No ugly big patch on the back. Just black and white stripes all the way around.
  14. Doesn't Redknapp more or less hate him now though? Reckon he'll be attainable for 6-8m.
  15. Aye, I'd be happy with Lovenkrands as his back-up as well.
  16. I love when people start talking to themselves in threads.
  17. If we go up I'd like to see us take a look at Robbie Keane. Surely on his way out at Spurs, will be 30 by the start of next season so I think his days of commanding ridiculously inflated transfer fees may be over. Proven Premiership goalscorer and the kind of lively player we need.
  18. Hughton deserves credit for this year, it's ludicrous to try and suggest he's not had a massive role in the success we've had this year. Do we have better players than pretty much everyone else in the league? Yes, we do. Have we been lucky at points this year? Yes, but everyone has luck on their side from time to time. Hughton took a rotten dressing room and has them playing together as a team. I think he'll get found out very badly in the Premiership if we go up and he stays in charge, but that doesn't mean I have to pretend he's done a bad job this year.
  19. Aye, fucking awesome goal by Villareal that. Pretty much passed the ball into the net.
  20. I have backed Darlington to win today because Tadhg Purcell is unstoppable. Do you know out about him? Can't say that I do. Enlighten me!
  21. Looks suited to coming off the bench for me. Can use his pace to beat tired opponents. Still reckon he'll struggle to do it if he starts games, but nice to see him doing well. Another good win, well done lads.
  22. Need Arsenal and Chelsea to hold on and I'll break my losing streak.
  23. Pr*ck - don't really post on here but what the hell do you expect??? Last summer everyone was panicking that because of debts we would 'do a leeds' but instead we have bought top quality championship players because we are a championship team. The sooner people get their heads around this the better. We have spent 18millon on people who have had less of an impact in two years than this guy has had in two weeks. Knobheads like you would only think the sun shone out these players arses if they cost ten times as much. We are now for the first time ever a sustainable club with no long term debt issues, we are top of the league, we are probably spending more on wages than any championship club ever has but still people whinge? WTF??? What did you want to happen??? Be so awesome that we would get promoted by default? Get behind the team - stop degrading them and we might get somewhere this year and next. Believe it or not - get behind the owner!!! We could get someone so much worse. Liverpool, Man Utd, Portsmouth and Notts County are all proof of this. We are spending within our means and given we are one of the biggest clubs in the world our means are more than most. We will be back there and we can do it in a way to benefit the club long term Firstly - Go and fuck yourself, dickhead. Secondly - Get behind the owner? What, the guy who since taking us over a mere two and a half years ago has... - Humiliated and undermined the greatest manager in the history of NUFC, having clueless tossers/ yes men like Derek Llambias and Dennis Wise go above his head to the point that Keegan had no choice left but to resign. - Replaced said manager with Joe Kinnear, an archaic disgrace of a football manager who had been out of work for half a decade before being deemed the man to lead us back to the promised land by said owner. - Been declared, in a court of law no less, to have been guilty of 'repeatedly and intentionally misleading the press, public and the fans of Newcastle United' since taking over. - Overseen the club getting relegated. Off the top of my head, like. But hey, we signed Wayne Routledge and he actually looks like a good player, so all is forgiven yeah? You'll have to forgive me if I don't think giving a long term contract to the likes of Leon Best is a good idea. The guy is below average at this level, why not just get someone on loan for 6 months and then try and buy someone who might actually be of use in the Premiership this summer? I'll never completely write Ashley off, as long as he owns the team I'll be hoping that he starts to do things right for us. If you think one decent transfer window is enough to make up for two and a half years of perennial fuck ups then that's fine, good for you. Just don't expect everyone to be so easily won over.
