Spend the money printing out the lyrics to this song and have the entire away section sing it for Mr. Ashley. Song is 'I Hope You Die' by The Bloodhound Gang.

Essentially it is in our hands though. I can't see both Man U and Chelsea losing on Sunday, regardless of how bothered they may or may not be. A win on Sunday will take us above the Mackems and Hull unless they can match that with a win of their own. I think we're going down though, we'll give a committed performance on Sunday and put Villa under plenty of pressure but get caught on the break. You might not be able to see it, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. FFS we could beat villa 9-0 and still quite easily get relegated. Fact is it's not in our own hands, we are praying that Chelsea and/or Manure do us a favour. Yes, I was just trying to approach things in a realistic manner. You're right though, winning 9-0 is entirely possible!

The blame doesn't belong entirely to any one group/person. Mike Ashley is by far and away the primary reason we are where we are though, no mistake about it.

Good morning. In less than an hour, players from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne will join others from around the world, And you will be launching one of the largest footballing battles in the history of Newcastle United. United... that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be UNITED in our common interest. Perhaps it's fate that today's opponents are Aston Villa, and just as in the 1905 Cup Final you will be playing for you place in Newcastle United folklore. Not for victory, glory, or silverware. But from relegation. We're fighting for our right to live, to exist. And should we win the day, The 24th of May will no longer be known as the day before Shak's birthday but as the day when Newcastle United declared in one voice "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight. We're going to live on. We're going to survive." Today we celebrate like this motherfuckers... http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/41295000/jpg/_41295366_shearercelebrates1416x300.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRGUqd_M6Mg

Probably gonna find a quiet pub and watch it there, even though it'll be torture I can't see myself avoiding the game. Gonna have the toaster by the bath for when I get home, should the worst happen.
-
In two minds about whether I want Milner to play. On one hand, I think he's an absolutely desperate player. On the other hand, I know exactly what'll probably happen if he does.
-
The Stoke and Wigan home games were where our season got doomed to this mess. Stoke in particular, after that first half it was going to take a truly special level of incompetence to not come away from that with three points. Fortunately, we had just the right guy for the job.

If we go down and Shearer fucks off then we're pretty much fucked and probably won't be returning the the Premiership any time soon. Shearer leaving would hurt more than the relegation for me, as I pretty much accepted relegation back near the start of the year.

It's his insistence on going for so many difficult passes that baffles me. He routinely struggles to complete 15 yard passes along the ground under no pressure from the opposition, yet somehow seems to convince himself 5 to10 times a game that he's going to manage to drop one in a target as big as a basketball hoop from 30 yards. If he'd have the basic sense to realise that he can't pass the ball worth a piss then he'd be an alright player. Part of the problem might just be that we've nobody else whose a great deal better at picking a ball from midfield, so Butt feels the need to try and take matters into his own hands and make something happen. It's commendable, in a sense, as he's actually trying to be pro-active and help the team. Unfortunately, he's an absolutely desperate passer of a football and therefore his efforts prove a hindrance to us rather than any sort of help. Can't believe we extended him for next year.
-
Cheers. 6 weeks before he can get match sharp again, then.

What happened to the little gimp then? Been away all weekend so not heard much in the way of news. Mysterious last minute injury just appear from nowhere?

8. Think we have a decent chance of getting something at Villa tbh, but Hull have just as good a chance, if not more, of getting something against Man U. Similiar to how I felt about last Saturday tbh, I reckon the most likely outcome is that Hull and ourselves will come away from the games with a loss and a draw between us. Just need to pray it's us that get the result this time. Doubt it, though.

Daft thread. All has changed, changed utterly.

Aye, I'd pretty much keep the same team otherwise. Guthrie's no winger but at least the lad can actually cross the ball so he has to be on the pitch, and while Jonas has been poor of late there's really no other option with Duff filling in so well at LB recently. At least he gets involved, even if there's no end product. Lovenkrands basically disappears from the game when out wide. Doubtless Owen will start though, hopefully we can give him the "service he needs".
-
I'd start Lovenkrands up front, personally. I think his movement and general nippiness would prove effective alongside Viduka.
-
Got 10 the first time I tried, I'll never do it again. Decent game though.
-
I like the idea of starting Owen and Viduka with Oba as the impact sub. Makes sense, when you think about it. We'll basically be playing for 60 minutes with ten men, then when we throw Oba the opposition won't know what hit them.

Shocking jersey, truly desperate. If you look at the barcode bits, the lines actually get thicker going from left to right on both sets. Surely it'd be more symmetrical if they got thinner/thicker as they went towards the middle on both sides? I mean it's common sense, surely? Not that anyone with any sense, common or otherwise, likely had any hand in designing that abortion of a kit.

What a hardy looking baby.

Actually liking the shirt the more pictures I see of it, pleased with it.
