  1. Much better than most really. But it's a bit of a discredit to Kaka as on his day he's absolutely brilliant. Shame the last few seasons he hasn't really hit those heights he had previously. Although then again I really have a dislike for Real Madrid so I hope he doesn't really do anything of note. Kaka's superb, but I think Zidane is the best player I've seen. Never saw enough of Ronaldo at his peak to be able to say whether he was any better or worse. Trust me. No matter how good Zidane was, Ronaldo was better. To each is own, but I disagree. Zidane at his prime was a better footballer than Ronaldo at his prime. Both absolutely mind-fuckingly amazing, but Zidane edges it for me. How old are you?

I love how the mere suggestion that Ronaldo may not have been better than someone whose played since will inevitably bring some sort of response from you.

    RIP sale thread.

Aye. It's really one of those "The devil you know is obviously a complete fucking cunt so anyone would struggle to do worse" situations in all honesty.
  4. Higuain has been the best player for Real Madrid last season. They'll hardly drop Raul will they?
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxbTRh1o_RU Her is Newcastle United as it has become. Him is Mike Ashley.
  6. Villa and Kaka will fairly help Real close the gap. Replacing Guti and Higuain in the starting 11?

    RIP sale thread.

The Profitable Group? Sounds promising, that. Odds are it's all bullshit anyway, or if they are interested they'll just end up being a bunch of cunts.
  8. It's a very strange kit that. Kind of looks like some sort of bra was going to be built into it and then they abandoned it and just left the line of stitching across the middle.
  9. In fairness Etoo's was a disgrace against Man U in the two-legged semi the year before. I also believe that Inter don't really suit Zlatan's game. Not enough pace and movement around him for me. This gets shown up against the better European sides, and is as indicative of how far Serie A has fallen in the last couple of years as much as anything, in my opinion.
  10. "Holy shit" if that actually happens. Noone will be able to get the ball off them with him up front. Been saying that for over a year now, he'd be an amazing signing for them. Might not get as many goals as Etoo', but his overall contribution to the team would shit on Etoo's from a great, great height. Can you imagine what Iniesta and Messi would do running at teams with a guy like Zlatan to play off? Almost doesn't bare thinking about. Depends if he can be arsed in Europe mind. Playing for a team with some movement would help him immensely. He'll still blow hot and cold at times, but no more so than Etoo' does. It's really a bit similar like Man Utd and Berbatov, although Zlatan is better than Berbatov. Do they want to keep the same winning style or give the team a whole new dimension much like Zlatan would give Barca. It would be something to see the likes of Henry, Messi and Iniesta playing off Zlatan. It's not really that similiar though because Man U and Braca play a different style of game completely. Man U are a faster, more direct style of team than Barca and Berbatov just doesn't suit that. Barca on the other hand are much slower, more patient and intricate in their play and you'd imagine that Zlatan would be made for a team like that. I never said the styles of play were similar, I meant more changing the way the team operates. But you knew that didn't you? I don't think Man U consciously tried to change the way the operated though, and I don't think Barca would either. They'd just have someone at CF who I think would be more suited to it. So your point is shite, basically.

  12. You can have a great goalscoring record and blow hot and cold at the same time, the two don't really correlate to each other at all. Cristiano is a fine example of this. My point is moreso that Zlatan's general game would help the rest of the Barca team more than Etoo's does, particularly in that CF role. They could push Etoo' wide into Henry's role as has been suggested, cos he's a better player now than Henry is.

  15. Boumsong was alright for a while. Didn't look an 8 million defender by any means, but decent enough. Coloccini after a few months looked like he could potentially develop into a top class CB in the Premiership after a year or two. All he needed to do was adapt his game a bit to suit the different style of the Premiership and he'd be sorted. Instead he never got his head around some of the more physical, "no-nonsense" requirements of the EPL and on top of that he seemed to lose all confidence in the things he was good at and by season's end he was a travesty of a footballer. Best for all concerned if he moves on really, we'll still get decent money for him as he'll do a job in most European leagues. But nothing like what we paid for him, somewhere between 5 and 7 million I reckon.
  16. Sounds canny, at the right price. Better than the name of someone who could move on. How much do nufc charge for letters/numbers, and what do the numbers look like for next season? I refuse to put anything with a championship logo on my shirt. We're a Championship team now. Or did that whole relegation thing escape you? Cos if it did, buddy, I've got some bad news... Oh sorry, have i missed something? My point is, smart a*se, that i don't want to wear a championship badge pure and simply because the club i love is in the championship in the 1st place. I don't want to walk around advertising the fact. That's the spirit, if we all took this approach then people would never know we've been relegated. It's flawless!
  17. I love how it just says "Failed : Smith" underneath his picture in the article.
  18. To be fair, if Glenn Whelan and Keith Andrews are the alternatives then let him at it I say.
  19. what was it with his hair? did he have a hair transplant or something? From http://www.uit.no/mancity/pictures/ireland2B.jpg To http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/10_02/StephenIreland_468x570.jpg
  20. Stephen Ireland quit international football because the other players on the team made fun of his hair. That's 100% true. If there's a more laughable "man" in football, I've yet to hear of him. Great player though.
