    Andy Carroll

I'd take him back but he's really nowt special, so I can't say I'd be expecting him to become the new Shearer or any shit like that. Far more likely to be the new Shola tbh.
  2. I'm not even particularly annoyed at Pardew on this one personally. I find it hard to get angry at the puppet when you can see the big owld sausage fingers pulling his strings.
  3. How much somebody is paid should have nothing to do with how they are treated, should it? Especially when they're not even paid that well in relation to how much money they're bringing in.
  4. typical playacting south american surprised he didnt grab his face and start waving an invisible card
  5. Exactly man. I remember after a defeat at Charlton in the 00-01 season, even Sir Bobby getting a bit of stick for taking the squad to Portugal (I think?) when there was an FA Cup weekend and him having to defend it. I doubt there will ever be another statement of any type from the club that will not be met with the same old predictable, cynical moaning which has become the trademark of so many supporters and the usual mouthpieces nowadays. We are becoming the biggest whingers in football. Get the fuckers running up and down the beach at Tynemouth in the cold easterly wind like they did in the old days. That'll teach them not to get beaten again. Gotta love that old man mentality. Shout at them and make them unhappy, that'll motivate them to succeed. This type of management is dead, and for good reason.
  6. I quit. Just an fyi, if there is a caveat, then it isn't like-for-like. But I can't be fucked to try and get this through anymore. I'm out.
  7. That's probably why they immediately shopped Traore. Decided he filled up far too much of the training field, not enough space for such a big lad.
  8. So out of your 5 like-for-like examples, not a single one actually satisfies "from playing every single game, to not making the bench, even for the FA cup?" ?
  9. Harper? Simpson? Cisse? Ben Arfa? S.Taylor? Players lose form, better players come in, manager prefers someone else, etc. Did any of those players go from playing every-single-game to not even making the bench? Given the last 3 all made an appearance at the weekend, they don't seem like great examples. They all went from first-team regulars to being similarly dropped for whatever reasons. So which ones went from playing every single game, first name on the teamsheet etc, to not making the bench? Harper after we got Elliot. Taylor until Coloccini got injured. You see, I seem to remember Harper being on the bench a great deal, just not for away games. I also recall him getting a proper farewell by being given a first team chance at the end of the season. Seems rather contrasting to Jonas' treatment to me.

  12. So how often does someone go from first name on the team-sheet to completely MIA? It seems significantly more likely this was an order from above, rather than Pards deciding all of a sudden that Jonas is shit and shouldn't ever play again. Obviously they've played it well enough so that some people may think that he was just "out of favor", so is being shipped off.
  13. Yes, we should have done this a long time ago. Or at least when owld Dykey announced what our "expectations" were for the upcoming tournaments. But just because we didn't do it back then, doesn't mean we shouldn't start now.
  14. Nah he doesn't need to own every club, just every player. Then he can loan them all out to other Premier League teams. Aston Villa will be 100% Chelsea loanees, so when Chelsea face Villa, Villa have to play a team of 15 year olds. It's perfect.
  15. We're not going to "do anything" at this tournament, and he won't play at the next tournament. The team should be crafted with Euro 2016 in mind. We should be working out ~15 players who look odds on to be a part of that squad, and make sure they're involved in the team for the next 2 years. In every single squad, no matter how stupid a friendly we're playing. Give them a chance to have the cohesion, and big tournament experience, that they'll need to actually put up a fight. Them playing at a high level week-in week-out has obviously done sweet fuck all for our chances at these tournaments, so how about we try and give them some tournament experience without the pressure that they'd be under if something was actually expected of them.
  16. MASSIVE DISAGREE BUT DRIVING SO CANT ELABORATE

This whole draft is ridiculous. They're all far too old to actually become anything of worth. And a goalkeeper with #1 pick ffs. Shite all round.
