  1. Boo Hoo http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/124838/Fall-guy-Habib-Beye-in-Villa-Quit-threat/ HABIB Beye last night declared his aim to quit Aston Villa – barely seven months after joining them. The Senegal defender, a £2.5m buy from Newcastle, has made just five Premier League appearances for Martin O’Neill’s side. France-born Beye, 32, had previously been a first-team regular since 1998 with Strasbourg, Marseille and the Toon. But he has now fallen behind Carlos Cuellar, Richard Dunne, James Collins and Luke Young in the Carling Cup finalists’ pecking order. “Things are not going too well for me at Villa,” centre-back Beye fumed. “I have only played in 10 games in all competitions." “This is the first time in 12 years I’ve had a season like this – and it is not easy for me to put up with. I am 32, I feel in good physical shape and I don’t see myself sitting on the bench. If I can’t express myself as a footballer with Aston Villa, it will be elsewhere. I have always been important, to a greater or lesser degree, at every club where I’ve played. It is the manager’s choice. You have to respect his decisions even if you don’t accept them, as he is the sole captain of the ship.” Beye now hopes to join another Premier League club during the summer. French clubs don’t punch at the same weight as English ones when it comes to salaries,” he said. “Returning to France would be complicated for me. The wages in England are twice as high and I can’t see a French club investing that much money in a player. I’d consider an interesting challenge in France but the salary is the problem.”
  2. Yeh i know, he only scores goals. Has he ever scored goals against quality opposition at international level? Can you list the quality opposition he actually started against please? bit hard scoring goals when you're sitting on the bench. So we highlight how effective he's been against relatively average opposition tonight coming on as a sub but can't point out he's been shite against the likes of Brazil and Portugal when he's come of the bench? Well if he scores against shit opposition, we can use him in the group stages and then sack him off for the difficult games.

He's fast! I don't think he's exactly amazing, but I imagine he could run 200m before John Terry had even noticed.

US look scared of Holland imo.
  11. 7, including the last 3 successive titles.
  12. Should just shove Lescott out there imo.

Holland vs USA, I may just watch this instead. USA have a bit more of a first team out today, but still not their top 11. They're in their new away shirt. Donovan and Altidore playing though. Let's hope they're shite, but I'm a little worried about Altidore tbh.
  14. They did the move freekick thing, but closer doesn't always mean better for freekicks, which made it awkward. But otherwise, I agree.
  15. who? uruguayan international that signed for stoke in the summer 16th in League 1 as well. I`m sure having South American coaches in Gustavo Poyet and Taricco there helped a great deal Uruguayan international. He should theoretically piss all over League One. Bet he wished he'd stopped in Uruguay playing for Nacional. Probably f***ed up his chances of going to the WC. Almost certainly. He has Gargano, Eguren and Diego Perez ahead of him as defensive midfielders. Strange really, why have Stoke signed him for big cash and not played him at all? He's 22, an age where he should be playing really. It's probably because he has some footballing ability - seen as witchcraft in the Stoke dressing room. How tall is he? He's only 8ft 2, nee chance of getting in the Stoke side with such a diminutive frame.
  16. One hindrance is that the clock isn't stopped in Football, which could make it difficult to make sure the correct time is spent there and so on. I'm all for it if they find a way to execute it in a good way without making too many changes to the existing game. (i.e. starting to stop the clock to use this rule etc.) Well there is nothing stopping a 'sin-bin clock' being started/stopped when the ball went out of play.
  17. I like the scotland kit, but the lion/dragon/hairy horse emblem thing could've been done a lot better.
  18. Oh it'll never happen. Blatter is a joker who just says this shit for effect 99% of the time.
  19. He never even considers shooting. Nee chance. Ever.
  20. Anyone who says no is Scottish. Stupid fucking situation anyway, I'm probably better at pens than Mowen.
  21. Yeah that was a little odd. But Umbro obviously don't have nearly as many kits, maybe they're in cahoots.
  22. Front Number, not sponsor.
  23. It's fucking hilarious how many people give a shit about Villa fans taking the piss when we were relegated. What the fuck do people think we'd've done? There may not have been banners but we would've ripped the piss just as they did. I hope Villa murder them... somehow. And cripple that little shithouse.
