Isn't it mid-season for the RO Irish league? I'm assuming some of the Northern Irish internationals play in said league? I don't really know tbh, but if thats the case then the timing of this international isn't so terrible.

Some people are deluded about the attractiveness of going to Man City. Everyone complains that money has made the Premier League uncompetitive with the top 4 being the same year in year out. It's a perfectly acceptable complaint. Anyway, Man City now have the kind of money available to help them break the top 4. Yet when this new money comes in, no-one seems to recognize the ambition that the club has, just the fact that they have money. Alot of clubs have this ambition of course, but the fact of the matter is they will never match their ambition due to the financial strength of the top teams. Man City now have an opportunity to build and to become a massive club, why do people not see this? p.s. that doesn't mean G.Barry isn't in it for the money, but no-one ever considers that he could see Man City as a club with a much greater chance of achieving a top 4 place, as tbh Aston Villa aren't going to get there anytime soon.

They're buying the second tier of player though aren't they? Can't see them breaking the top 3 without making proper world-class signings. Robinho was arguably one, when he's on his game, but Barry is a step down from Lampard, Gerrard and the like. Suppose it is a good start though, if they can get into the CL then they can go for the true big hitters. Yeah he's not quite a world beater, but they've gotta build the squad. If they get in a world class centre back (or a ageing one..) and a world class out-and-out striker, they'll make for a very decent team. Oh, and they should sign Buffon. Would be funny as fuck.

So it's inflamatory to call them a fad. Of course they are a fad. They are currently "In" fashion right now, so the sheep go out to get themselves all inked up. They've been around for years but only recently have they become more mainstreem. Nothing high and mighty at all about what I'm saying. Ridiculous that you think you can assume this about people that you've never even met. That's the problem with tattoos, they cause you to assume things about people and it's generally not that complimentary. I interview frequently and since mostly people are all suited up, I generally don't see many that come through the doors with tattoos or piercing, and since I'm usually interviewing for developers or analysts, there aren't too many out there with serious ink, however if I do come into contact with a person that has tats that are visable or holes in their face where jewelry usually goes, then I mentally mark them down a little. Maybe I'm old fasioned but why allow those assumptions to be made, there is litrerally zero point in a tattoo other than you trying to tell somebody about yourself. A lot of it is "oh look at me, I'm cool". (the first time I've ever been smug with regards to my job title)
