If a club meets the release clause and and offers him an improvement on his current contract then, given his condition, he would be a foolish (or extremely loyal) man to turn it down. There's little probability of that happening imo. There is too much risk. I guess the condition of his knee will be a huge factor like. Like you've said, it'll probably be too much of a risk for other clubs.

Okay, so it looks he may actually have some sort of clause in his contract..... But I reckon Demba will stay anyway. Looks like he's really enjoying his football here and he's in the form of his life really. Like someone touched upon before, think the French influence we've got in the squad now could be enough to make us the ideal club for Demba. Think he certainly enjoys the French vibe we've got going on actually.

Yeah we don't need a partner for Carrick, we need a partner for Anderson. Cleverley and Anderson were tearing teams apart at the start of the season before injuries started hitting us like. I can't see Fletcher coming back and being the player he was. A lot of people still don't understand just how important Fletcher actually was for us. Sneijder and Gotze aren't the sort of players we need right now IMO. Need someone like De Rossi instead, which will never happen. I mentioned this last night, Fletcher is such an underrated player for yous.

Blackburn definitely did not deserve more. Kean's tactics were shocking especially the one which involved their keeper kicking it to the player on their left side, be it from a goal kick or a free kick (which 9 times out of 10 went out for a throw in anyway).

when we bought him he was a winger. i assume the reason he's seen as a striker is a mixture of the Jonas, Raylor playing at left back and a lack of striking options. Still today shows that Obertan staring on the wing in front of him is a farce. Can't see for the life of me what is so bad about playing Jonas RW and playing Ben Arfa LW. then at least we'll have a left footed left winger and a right footed right winger, instead of a right footed left back, a right footed left winger and a left footed right winger. Aye, it's just that Pardew seemed unconvinced about Ben Arfa playing on the wing but today has certainly shown the merits of playing Hatem out there.
