  1. He is 26 and hasn't played in this country at all yet, I can't see how his experiences will get any broader staying in Germany. Wasnt he a bit of a squad/utility player for Bayern anyway? No. He was injured much of the last season and the previous though.
  2. I know. In the end, I have no doubt the pull of Man U was the overriding factor, but due to his reputation with England fans (fucking brutally pathetic that it was), his initial 'dream' was to play in the Premiership. Man U was never part of it, until they made their offer.
  3. They made him the player he is today, no-one else, and Bayern Munich are a fantastic club. He also shouldn't have to come to England to prove he's good, just cause we (as a nation) are too ignorant to watch anything but the Premiership then claim with authority that it's the best league in the world.
  4. Gutted Man U got him, should have stayed at Bayern.
  5. It's not about the differing of opinion, it's about abusing other members as well. I've asked Vic countless times to stop, and I hope he knows he is near the end, now. He probably won't give a shit, but that's why I will also not give a shit in getting rid. come off it, find me one thread today where I've started anything Come off it? Get real Vic, you've had countless warnings. Take this as it is, I will not be providing evidence for you, just fucking quit it.

    England v Brazil

McGinog is just Sven without the scandal. I think he's worse. You could guarentee something with Sven, whatever people say, we weren't as bad as we are under McClaren. The two are lightyears apart. I think people are confusing Sven's good work with Tord Grips training methods. Sven took a serious nose dive when Grip had a heart attack and wasn't able to train the team anymore. What dip? We got to the exact same stage the last three tournaments, and played equally as bad each and every time. I think you're confusing your opinions with fact.

  9. At least Chelsea pay it for good players. £72,000 for Lucas Neill ffs, "considerably more" for Parker. At those rates, I could get a couple of grand a week down there myself. What the fuck? Is that true? £72,000? Has the world gone fucking crazy?? Struggling to take that one in, not doubting you for a second mind.
  10. Once/If we're a successful team, we can start trying to do it, but it's certainly next to impossible in our current state.
  11. We don't, this is not a fact. If you want only players that want to player for the toon, then they're not going to be very good, because we're not exactly very appealing at the minute. Regardless of our new found expectations, people see the last 3 years as what they might get.
  12. Sure... I've been on topic throughout. Fair points, Bonk, but I think the claims people have used to beat him with are shite. Like he should really refuse to go to the world cup cause he wasn't "match fit". That'll be what Wayne Rooney did then. Like it was actually his fault he got injured, when no one can actually claim that, as it's fucking baseless. However, the saviour thing isn't Owen's fault, that's a blabbering mouth's fault. If they stuck to what you just said, there'd be a hell of a lot less arguments, cause what you stated is nothing but fact. Where as the rest... they make up bullshit.
  13. You need to move onwards and upwards and stop quoting your own post. We seen it the first time.
  14. Something I agree on. Never been a massive Owen fan, but we have him now and I think he's professional enough to give his all even if we cling on to him for dear life. I know what you're talking about with the fairness, but you have to be fair and not put words in his mouth due to your perception of him and his behaviour. Papers stir everything, so nothing you read can be taken as true, literally nothing. If he's sent out feelers for a new club, then so be it, but many other players do too. We're not in a position to expect anyone to come out and say anything. We're a wobbling ship, and plenty of players have a right to jump off without warning. Not you particularly, but some of the claims about Owen in the past have been astoundingly plucked out of a horse's arse.
  15. Here man, seriously. I can't deal with that. You all make the assumption in the first place that he wants to go, have we ever heard him say that? Give me quotes baby. But suddenly he should come out and say he wants to stay, because.... er.... you lot assume he wants to go. Get away man. And YOU are talking about fair?
  16. Don't want to sell him either, if he wanted to go I'd happily let him though. He's professional enough to always give his all, even if his loyalty is elsewhere. He wants the best for Michael Owen, which includes performing, so to want to get rid for the sheer fact he doesn't big us up (don't see anyone else doing it) is insane. And the fact England drives him is good, fucksake, as it means he'll have to perform. Especially now he's not the golden boy anymore. It's not the fact that he's not bigging us up, it's that he's using our club as a stepping stone and thinks he's bigger than us. Mind, I'll shut the f*** up if he pots 20 for us next season and stays relatively healthy. All he has to say is, "I'm going to be as fit as I can be next year and score as many goals as I can for Newcastle". End f****** Of. If he wants to leave after that, thank's mickey, it's been a slice. Pun intended. No, he doesn't actually. Not in the real world anyway. Very few players have done this, care to share me some of those names? Some players do that, some don't. Some players are always looking for the next step up the ladder, some aren't. If you think we're going to get players that only want to sign and play for the club rather than their pay check, all the time, then you're wishing for a dream. It doesn't happen in today's game. And to be f****** honest, until this takeover, Michael Owen probably was bigger than us. Please don't take that literally, but just consider what I'm getting at. Who they f*** are we, exactly? Said that twice today... We're a f****** s*** arsed team, run for the last 3 years by a pair of 'managers' that resemble imbeciles. Two of which he's had to endure. Everyone's been saying it for every other player, "if I was him, I'd be out of here", but with Owen it's not, by some. People need to recognise we got him here against his true wishes, so f****** live with that and stop your pissing, because half the points made against him are hysterical nonsense. "All he has to say, is..." Nowt. Give me goals Michael, or if you f*** off, give me millions. We win either way. Use his ambitions and desires to get the best out of him. Stop pretending every player should automatically love the club, stop pretending superstar players really should care more about their employers than their wage check. If you lot want us to be at the top, you ARE going to have get used to this. Time to choose, cause the moment is now. I'm not pretending every player should love the club, but he should give us a clue of his direction. If he wants out, fine, he gets his wish. He stays, all the fucking better, we've got a world class player in our starting 11. I agree, there are very few players who play for the shirt or some that do for a period of time, but fall out of favour due to set circumstances. When we're playing to our potential, I have no doubt in my mind more players will love playing for Newcastle. For the record, Micheal Owen isn't bigger than any club. He wasn't bigger than Liverpool (Thought he was and sat on the fucking bench for Real) and he's not bigger than us. We are a big club in my eyes. Not as big as the obvious, but not far behind. Right or wrong, those are my beliefs. And he has given us a clue of his direction, and that is that he might stay. What the hell is "Owen impressed by Big Sam"? An indication he wants out?

  19. £8.5m is probably £5m more than his true worth. Exactly. blueyes.gif
  20. Take the 8.5, don't push it or they'll go elsewhere. It's good business, let's not get greedy. Do we even need to be at the moment...?
  21. I agree with Baggio on this. I actually don't really want any of them, but Barton is pretty effective. And as he said, Reo-Coker clearly has potential to be quite impressive himself.
  22. Thought of you the second I heard this. You turned me against him... I hope you can live with yourself.
  23. they should get sky then the daft tits Or get over it. SSN is shite.
