Sheep shaggers, by and large, is seen as a joke, even by the people on the other side, and not only Welsh people get called it. Whereas "Paki" is seen worldwide as a racist derogatory remark.

It may have been, in that he's probably done 3 or 4 interviews to various different channels. Regardless, it was the truth. You could tell he'd been longing for the opportunity to say it, though. I just can't stand managers like Pearce, full of clichés, always wanting to say the right thing, and come across as well as they possibly can.. regardless of wether what they're coming out with actually ties in with what they really believe. Ah, I get what you mean then. Still, I've always quite like Pearce.

I heard that. Was good to hear, and he's a likeable guy.

If the next big International tournament was at the end of this season, I'd say he'd be good back up for Hargreaves, but as it's two years away, I don't think there's much chance at all of him getting in. Also, he's not playing for the right team anymore, if you know what I mean. If he was still at Man U, it would be a foregone conclusion that he'd still be in the squad.

I nearly wet myself that day in the Union Rooms when we were watching the derby and he patted a tame shot straight to Johnson two yards out who headed it past him. "Streets ahead" Christ, I'd forgotten all about that little gem. Sometimes I feel really sorry for Given. It gets more blatent to me every year that if he was at one of the "top" teams, he quite obviously would be getting raved about by so many more people. It would be nice of Rushian to elaborate on what makes Reina streets ahead, but I won't hold my breath. I mean, there's plenty of evidence Given is a top class keeper, but I've not seen much, let alone plenty of, evidence that Reina is what Rushian claims he is.

I imagine RobW edited that in. and a few other things by the looks of it. also, why does everyone on this forum post articles without links? they copy and paste a whole article, usually no link, sometimes not even a reference! the link by itself is generally preferable imo. I'm not sure, but links should always be provided.
