  1. I've never been more terrified in my life, than after the brief second I thought about this.
  2. I'm sure Shephard would pay through the nose to get him, especially if it meant some of the heat being taken off him.
  3. Nah, he won't. Not after that seeing that interview. He's as blind as a bat, man. "I've got faith in my ability", well with a CV like yours, I've no idea where you've got that notion from, with the greatest respect.
  4. Sven would get a hell of a lot more out of this team, and he's a good manager. He knows how to use tactics to win games, and when you think of the games, which are minimal, that he did lose for England, they weren't exactly against teams that we've been losing to recently. Some of the best teams in the world, christ sake. But, do I think he'd be willing to come here? No. Not with us so close to the bottom. However, I certainly hope so.
  5. BBC news mentioned it, sadly MOTD did not. You'd like to think it was the other way around, but no.
  6. I think he would, it's been suggested he's ready to come back into management so we've got as good a chance as any. I certainly hope so. He's the best choice we have, in respect that they might be remotely interested. I'm having to admit to being genuinely flabbergasted at people thinking he'd be no better than Roeder. Or that they'd prefer Roeder over him. I mean, I was shocked when people said that at the time of Roeder's little honeymoon period, but now? Fuck me sideways!
  7. exactly. Not really his place to have a real go. I sort of agree, but his blatent ignoring of Luque was a bit harsh. "All he has to play with is Rossi", I must've dreamt that goal on Thursday.
  8. The question is, to people really believe he'd even entertain an offer from us?

    Blame the players

I think he is spot on. Today he looked nothing like a talented footballer. I'm very concerened about Steven Taylor. Not making the starting eleven is one thing, but on a day when Craig Moore is dreadful and he loses his place on the bench to Peter Ramage, he has to consider his future at the club. I know he is young and maybe he hasn't been as good as last season, but I've watched him over the years in the England youth-teams aswell as a lot of his performances for Newcastle. He is class. Moore is an ex-alcoholic and Bramble will always produce these decent games just to slip and give away a goal. If Roeder and Pearson wants someone to build our defence around it's Taylor, no one else. They need to show some belief in his ability, then he will shine again + he, apart from the likes of Moore, is hungry for success and has a point to prove in the Premiership, and considering Taylors past he should be aiming for nothing but the England national team. No, he's not. Rossi has got bags of talent. Hard to show it when you're only 5'9" and you get balls pumped up to you from the keeper tbh Agreed. It's amazing that the players are actually stupid enough to listen to the manager and continue to do it, never mind the manager being stupid enough to allow/tell them to keep doing it.
  10. Well, you fooled Bluf. I wish he was joking, mate, I really do.
  11. What makes you think that? This season's progress or his CV?

    Blame the players

Does he fuck, to be honest.

    Blame the players

It's down to him to get them to perform. Players can take some share of the blame, of course, but if they don't want to play for him, then he's obviously doing something wrong, don't you think?
  14. He also said he had plenty of faith in his ability. Fuck knows where he's got that from.
  15. Agree with all of that. Incredible that people would say no, especially given the position we're in.
  16. You what? It's the fucking England fans that think he's shit. I don't think he's a world beater, but fuck me, he's light years ahead of Glenn. His club CV isn't on the level of some of the better managers out there, but it's a good CV nonetheless. He may well focus on a core of players, but lots of managers do, and with England it was just more highlighted as a loss in international football ultimately results in you not having another game to get things right. I genuinely can't believe anyone would think Sven would produce much of the same as Roeder. Like, seriously.
  17. Be fair mate, International football is a total different game. You only have one chance to get it right, on average 10-15 games a year, in club football there's plenty of time to get it right, and also when you lose you're not all of a suddenly out on your arse. I totally agree that what he achieved, or didn't, with England was terrible, but to rule him out on that is a little short sighted.
  18. Both have to go ASAP, this club will decline more every day hes there. As someone at the match pointed out todays game should have been moved to tomorrow but Shepherd could only see the pound signs of Sky. Glenn has to go tomorrow and Fred as soon as possible, a change of ownership takes time it cant happen overnight but until it does we need out of this relegation battle and theres no way Roeder can take us out. I agree with you, mate. But like you say, there's no chance of Freddy leaving soon, it would take months for anything to be finalised, that is months we don't have if Roeder is in charge. They both need to go, but realistically, Roeder is the only one with any chance of going sooner. And I know Shepherd hasn't got a good enough record of appointing 'successful' managers, I personally don't think he could appoint anyone worse than Roeder. Mind, I did think the same with Souness...
  19. If he's shite, then what is Roeder exactly? We're not exactly in a position to be turning our nose up at managers that are significantly better than what we have. Regardless, he won't come anyway.
  20. I personally think you're crackers if you'd rather Roeder over Sven, but we'll meet half-way. As Sven wouldn't touch us in a million years.
  21. You can go back further than that to when it started. You says lots of people predicted what's happening now and that's true. Well, it's also fair and true to say a lot of people predicted it further back than that, mate, but were shot down in a torrent of abuse. Perhaps, but not by me.
  22. A different slant on it, and I agree, but he still needs to be relieved of his duties as our manager.
  23. Vodka was retrieved from the fridage before HT. You could just sense then we were going to lose.
