  1. As for the content I am just glad to hear we are going after a left back, anybody has to be better than Babayaro.
  2. People on this forum are so kneejerk about this. Do you really think Glenn is going to go into the meeting with no idea who he is going to sign, I presume he'll go in with a list of players and Shepherd will tell whether based on the money the club has whether they are viable options or not. As for the budget I imagine he will have some idea of what he has got.
  3. Also, I don't the goal was a foul. The only reason Given ended up going to ground was because he was off balance and then tried to get the boll with his feet.
  4. If you notice before and after it the goal was Babayaro marking Bouazza, he just decided he wasn't gonna bother marking him on that particular corner. The problem in general with corners is that Given doesn't ever come for anything and we are far too small.
  5. Apparently we made a bid for Kerzhakov the other week.
  6. Anybody know how many people are epxected at SJP for the game on Wednesday. Hope their aren't loads of empty seats for a Sky game.
  7. *Yawn* Been discussed in other topics.

    Shittu

Lets be honest Sibierski is decent but not amazing. Sibiserski's main asset is his aerial skill and what Shittu did well was stop him from winning anything in the air. However I would have liked to see how he would have coped against a faster and more skillful player like Martins.
  9. Didn't go to Plymouth because Hollaway had a look at him but then decided against taking him.
  10. Link Roccardo Meli and Alessio Ferramosca

    Scarves

Not been to one of the giveaways so I'm thinking about buying a scarf when I go up for the Watford match tomorow. Is there any piont though, since the giveaway have people actually been taking them to matches? Don't want to shell out £5 if nobody else in the ground brings theirs.

    Why Rossi?

Luque is also gone in January. I think we've seen him for the last time in a black and white shirt tbh.

    Inter-Toto

Winning the Intertoto is hardly an achievment, more of a novelty.

Ajax aint as good as they use to be. Anyways Az aren't great and we will win just like we beat Palermo. We beat Palermo reserves. If Palermo had put our there first team we would have been beaten.

Zulte should be fairly straight forward although Fener or AZ will be a totally different proposition and may cause us some real problems.
  16. It's a shame it's not true, then again I'm not that surprised.

  19. Don't rate him tbh. All speed and nothing else.
  20. Should of got Kompany when he left Anderlecht in the summer. The only problem with AVB is he is another midget.
  21. Can't see a bad turnout tbh. There won't be many travelling from the north east but there will be a lot of London mags there I would imagine.
  22. Owners have very little to do with team performance. In America it is usually the general managers who control the buying/selling of players, the owners have very little to do with it.
  23. It's common practice for younger players 14/15 to have a couple of trials. It's generally not good practice to bring foreign youngsters over until they are about 16. You have to remember they are still kids and may not speak English and will almost definetly miss there parents and family if they are way for any extended period of time.
  24. Link Newcastle have invited Ersboda SK teenager Seif Kadhim for a third trial. The 15-year-old has made a positive impression on Newcastle's academy coaches during two trials earlier in the year and it is believed they want to take a final look at the winger before making a decision whether to offer him a contract. Kadhim admits he has been impressed with the facilities on offer at Newcastle and feels it could be too good an opportunity to pass up. "It is a big step, but maybe you only get one chance," Kadhim told Vasterbottens Folkblad. "It actually went really well. I played two matches and there were six players who were there for a trial. "Of us six, Newcastle just wanted me to come back. "They have got a terrific sporting complex with a great school and everything."
