    Abel Xavier?

What gives you the idea we have £10 million? The fact is nobody knows how much money we have so there is no piont in guessing.
  2. Krul is nowhere near ready yet. Given should be first choice for atleast the next 3 seasons.

    Deja vu

Don't think that really tells the whole story. We did much better in the League Cup this year and we are progressing very nicely in the UEFA Cup.
  4. Well technically we knew about Duff the monday before but nothing was confirmed officialy until the Friday or Saturday. I would prefer they kept all transfers quiet. blueconfused.gif He was linked to Spurs all through the week, then the first thing about Newcastle was on the Friday when the Mirror back page said we were signing him and then in the afternoon Chelsea announced the accepted bid and he was signed on Saturday night.
  5. On both the Eurosport and Channel 4 website. Plus some other articles on Newsnow.
  6. No idea. Roeder usually keeps his cards close to his chest. We only knew about Duff, Sibierski and Rossi the day they happened.
  7. Just thought I'd let everyone know that the FA has officially written to Everton to ask for a statement about there allegation Emre racially abused Howard and Lescott.
  8. Definetly not. He's also retired so you presume he won't be at anywhere near match for another month or two even if we did sign him.

    The Roonster

Pleased me greatly to see Rooney have a bad game.
  10. Gave it to Edgar because it was only his 2nd start and he was solid at the back and scored the vital goal.
  11. Fucks sake man, we just got a piont against Man U with a team that picked itself and highly inexperienced back four.
  12. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/6222245.stm Portsmouth striker Kanu has called for the club to allow him to leave Fratton Park to join Ajax. The 30-year-old is the club's top scorer with nine goals but is keen to make a return to the Dutch club. He told the Vanguard newspaper: "I want to go to Ajax. Portsmouth should be grateful for what I have been able to do for them and allow me to go." And boss Harry Redknapp has admitted he would not stand in the way if defender Sol Campbell wanted to join Chelsea. Chelsea are facing a defensive crisis with John Terry out with a back injury. And Redknapp said he would be powerless to prevent the former Spurs and Arsenal centre-back Campbell, 32, from leaving if he wanted to leave for Stamford Bridge. He said: "You wouldn't want to lose him but if he said he wanted to go what could you do? Not a lot really. "I hope Chelsea are not interested in him. If I lose him I am in trouble." Kanu's future is of a more pressing concern, with the former Arsenal and West Brom forward keen to make a recreate the glory days of the mid-1990s at Ajax. And he also hinted that Tottenham midfielder Edgar Davids could join him in Amsterdam. He said: "I have been talking to Edgar Davids and a couple of the other guys who shaped Ajax in the mid-1990s and we believe we can re-create the atmosphere if we return to play for the club. "I am waiting for Ajax's offer. I have told Portsmouth I want to leave. My mind is made up. I have great memories of Amsterdam and I know great things can happen there if we return." Can't believe that tbh, Harry has got Kanu's career back on track and then Kanu says he wants to leave.
  13. To be honest I'm worried about Luque, there doesn't seem to be a very big market for him and I can see us not getting all that much for him. Heinze would be a great signing but he's been linked to Milan recently.
  14. Shame we are not interested in Barton as he is a much better and more consistant tham Emre.
  15. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/6220871.stm Newcastle v Man Utd (1715 GMT) Sir Alex Ferguson's men are pretty unstoppable at the moment, aren't they? It's something like six wins in their last seven league games and I can't see them slipping up at St James' Park against a Newcastle side who are struggling with injuries. Match preview Prediction: 2-0
  16. Normally I'd agree but with so many clubs hovering I get the feeling one of them will eventually get desperate and I think Birmingha know that and will hold out until the last minute if neccesary to get there price. They have already proven they are no mugs with Heskey and Pennant.
  17. Just been thinking about defenders we cxould go after and not that many came to mind. Bale - Southampton want £7m and bigger clubs are supposedly interested. Upson - Birmingham want a massive fee and there is meant to be atleast 10 clubs after him Baines - Possible but it would take a huge fee to get him, around £7m I'd imagine. Neill - Looks set for Liverpool Distin - Possibility but man City seem to want to hold on until end of the season Bridge - Seems happy at Chelsea and has signed a new contract. The only two who weve been linked with I can see us having a chance with is Warnock and Ben Haim. Anyone else got any idea of potential available defenders.
  18. So we have Edgar, Solano, Huntington and Taylor fit.
  19. Any news on how long the lad will be out for? Think we could be in real trouble if he's out for a few weeks.
  20. It was a poor penalty, but he was trying to put it in the corner... he wasn't trying to chip it. :? I don't know, it looked to me by his body shape like he was trying to chip it up into top corner. I can't see how he got it that high and wide if he was just trying to put it in the corner.
  21. Fucks sake, not picking on you particularly but to even suggest the Roeder is going after Melchiot based on speculation by Planetfootball is insane. The article had no quotes from anybody and no other credible site is covering the story.
  22. Pisses me off what Oba did, try to be fucking clever and chip it instead of just hitting it like he did with the Reading one. Roeder should tell him never to try that ever again. Though the 3rd goal was stupid play by Butt. AJ was runing towards the corner with no danger and Butt goes and fouls him for no reason. Senior player who should know better. Sadly, Huntington is to blame for the Anichebe goals. First goal he fails to clear the ball from under his feet and the second he gets beat by Anichebe to the first header.
  23. Why do people on this forum take press speculation for truth? I've seen multiple posts over the last few days saying "why are we trying to sign Barton?" or "Why re we paying £12m for Crouch". Am I the only one who fins this hilarious.

    Peter Damage

Ramage is not the future of this team however he does have a future at Newcastle in a back-up roll. The fact that he now has experience all along the back makes him as an ideal candidate to fill the "Aaron Hughes" roll.
