I only think we'll sign 2 or 3 players as I don't think we have that much money to spend. Think we'll have £20m at most and we'll go for quality rather than quantity.

Barnes is a right winger, not a right back and LuaLua plays on the left side not right.

I'm not too sure that would be a good idea. As much as I would love to see him for the first team and think he could be an amazing talent we must not rush him or we could risk ruining him. I mean he was only 16 in December so there is no rush for him. If your good enough, your old enough. Is he good enough though? There is a BIG difference between playing in the U18's and Reserves to playing in the first team at any level. Not to mention he has only started in the Reserves twice. He must be doing something right to make the bench ahead of lot or older more experienced acadamy and reserve youngsters. If he progresses and improves the way he is should be very very good player. If we are winning 3-0 with 15 mins left I see no harm whatsoever in blooding him in the first team. He has been getting on the bench in front of older players but consider that most of these other players will never play for the club and may only make it at League 1 level or below. He is a special talent and that is why we must not push him too fast, he is only just 16 and has plenty of time, I would say playing him against Waregem has the potential to do more harm than good. I mean what will he gain from playing 15 minutes? I would say not all that much and if anything it could be very negative if things go wrong for him on the night. He is a special talent and should be nurtured. There is no need to take risks with him at this early stage.

He is very young but if Roeder plays him for 10-15min the boy's confidence will rise tremendously Will it though. If he has a decent 15 mins confidence will rise but if he has a terrible 15 mins it would do him absolutely no good.

With young players it's alll about confidence. If he comes on on Thursday and has an absolute shocker then it could hamper his development, especially seen as he would be unlikely to get another first team oppurtunity until next season. He's not been playing for the Reserves that long so I think it would be far more beneficial to just let him play for the Reserves and U18's then have him train occasionly with the first team. Then next season give him a couple of games in preseason where it doesn't matter if he is poor. Young talented players have shown they can take there chance but this kid is 16 years and 3 months old, that is VERY young, I may be wrong but I don't think Rooney had even made his debut when he was this young.

How old is Sami? Has he played for our youth team yet?

I think it could go either way, although I think AZ will just make it through because of there 3 away goals.

Campbell and Lauren are both the wrong side of 30 and both signed multi-year contracts at Portsmouth. Who's to say either player will be the same player they are now in a few years and then everyone will be moaning in a few years when they are useless and we can't get rid of them. I'd rather wait until the end of the season and bring in a good, young RB then bring in Lauren. As for CB we have Onyewu who looks very solid and is 6/7 years younger than Campbell.
-
Will he even be here next season? His contract expires in the summer.

Copa America takes place in the summer.

We could play anybody still left in the competition.

In terms of transfers I don't think Roeder has been that bad. Sure he hasn't been perfect but when you consider he was appionted late on in the season so was playing catch up with other managers in terms of scouting and then in January very few decent players moved. Also I can't say he has made a bad signing so far, Martins has been great value for money, Sibierski is free transfer of the season, Rossi did a job, Duff has looked average and been injured a lot but he looked good last night against Waregem and then Onyewu has done a solid job in both the games he has played so far.

I'd say on our day we could win 10 out of 11. However I can see us dropping pionts against Arsenal, Pompey, Reading and then we'll probobly drop pionts in a game against Sheffield United or somebody.
-
Got us looking as if were gonna get to the last 16 of the UEFA Cup, has us 9th in league and has managed to do both these things while overcoming a massive injury crisis. He;s done a good job for me.
-
They are not good enough against physical teams like Bolton and Everton and until they get that sorted out they will never win the league as they'll drop too many pionts in those type of games.

Baba caused the free kick, and his poor marking lead to the goal.. Baba caused the free kick but it was Nobby's poor marking.
-
Just wondering, if I apply for tickets and get offered them will I be obliged to buy them. As I'd love to go to the UEFA Cup Final, but only if it is Newcastle playing.
-
That's incorrect. When/If we get to the Quarter Finals the rights go to ITV.
-
How can you expect him to get better when he has hardly played over the last 4 years? You get better by playing first team matches or matches at your current standard and he has not done that for years.
-
If he's fit there is no reason to save him for next season. What we shouldn't do is rush him back but I see no reason to keep him on the sidelines if he gets full fitness before the season's end.
-
We need a big striker. At the moment we only have Shola and Sib and Sib is too old and won't have much left by next season.
-
Condolendces but well done. Should give him the week off as we shouldn't need him against Waregem and we have no game next weekend.
