From ITV: Newcastle United plc have named Steve Walton, a relationship director with Barclays Large Corporate Banking, as their new chief executive. A statement said the appointment has been "designed to strengthen the existing management team in view of a number of proposed future developments in and around St James' Park". Walton has been with Barclays for many years in a variety of roles including sales and marketing, corporate finance and retail banking. For the past 12 years he has been responsible for Barclays' football operations, particularly with Premiership clubs. His relationship with Newcastle goes back more than 10 years and he has been heavily involved in all aspects of the club's financing over that period.

According to the NOTW this morning Spurs, Man City and Everton are looking at signing Paul Huntington as he is out of contract at the end of the season. We should get him a new contract ASAP regardless of whether anybody is interested as he has proved to be a decent defender.

Would be tough for them. Mainly becuase Juve have a great tradition and history which West Ham do not have. We should be right in there for Anton Ferdinand if they do go down.

Link Huntelaar has reportedly fallen out with Ten Cate and he has only started 2 of there last 5 games. If there is any chance of him leaving we should be straight in there. Can you imagine Owen, Martins and Huntelaar playing up front for us.

Are you actually trying to complain? I would have expected prices to go up to £30 with the opposition now being of better quality.

Against who though? Don't forget we have travelled to the likes of palermo who were riding high at the top of Serie A and won and have now gone 12 games unbeaten in europe this season. Why should we fear anyone, particularly a team from what is essentially a 3 team league. Palermo played there reserve team that night and AZ are no mugs, just because they play in a lesser league doesn't make them any less dangerous.
