In terms of transfers I don't think Roeder has been that bad. Sure he hasn't been perfect but when you consider he was appionted late on in the season so was playing catch up with other managers in terms of scouting and then in January very few decent players moved. Also I can't say he has made a bad signing so far, Martins has been great value for money, Sibierski is free transfer of the season, Rossi did a job, Duff has looked average and been injured a lot but he looked good last night against Waregem and then Onyewu has done a solid job in both the games he has played so far.

I'd say on our day we could win 10 out of 11. However I can see us dropping pionts against Arsenal, Pompey, Reading and then we'll probobly drop pionts in a game against Sheffield United or somebody.

How can you expect him to get better when he has hardly played over the last 4 years? You get better by playing first team matches or matches at your current standard and he has not done that for years.

If he's fit there is no reason to save him for next season. What we shouldn't do is rush him back but I see no reason to keep him on the sidelines if he gets full fitness before the season's end.

And appionted Glenn Roeder. I think some credit must go to him on this day, he kept us up, got us into Europe. Brought in Martins and Duff, has got us to the last 32 of the UEFA Cup and has us in a position where we can make another run at Europe.

I do not want the DIC to takeover. They are an investment group and there priority is not the club. They are the investment arm of the UAE government and there aim is to make money to support one of the fastest growing countries in the world. They will not care if we are finishing 15th every season as long as we are making them profits that is all they will care about. There priority is to help the UAE develop as a country and not to help Newcastle United.
