For me I think we have signed hard workers instead of flair players which is a good thing. Lovenkrads and Carroll up front , im always a strong believer of the Big and Little combo and think this could work. He's better than shola. So after the transfer window is now closed , do we have a stronger team? No. I would say we have a more versatile team and a more hard working team . We were told we would have 5 new signings , some loan deals here and there , and quite frankly we have signed average players but those players we have got will be the players bst suited to a relegation fight. Hope they do well , but overall dissapointed with our performance in the window.

Come the end of January , with a fully fit squad I would hope the team could look something like this ( If we sign no-one that is ) Given Beye ( Injured but is still first choice and wont be sold ) Bassong ( Player of the season so far ) Collocini ( Never missed a game so far and hasnt done too bad ) Duff ( His best game for newcastle was at Left Back ) Gutierrez ( Exciting player , doesnt score or create enough for me though , very hard working though ) Barton ( Captian to be , and hopefully gives us the extra bite we need in the middle of the park ) Guthrie ( Think this lad is pretty underated and has impressed me so far , could be better though ) Martins ( I would love to see martins play more of a wide role , as his pace could take any full back on , and I dont think he has the best shooting ability , however he is always likely to pull something out of the bag ) Owen ( Proven goalscorer , hopefully finds his form again soon ) Caroll ( Been a breath of fresh air to see a hard working centre forward who will challenge for everything , more goals to come from him , a young duncan ferguson ) On paper , it's not a bad team at all , maybe highlight the weaker players in that team which would probably be , Guthrie , Carroll , Duff ( in that position ) and replace them with quality then were not looking to bad at all. Were will we find a big hard working centre forward , a good creative midfielder , and a proven left back? Left Backs - Riise ( Loan Only ) and Steve Finnan ( Always liked him in his liverpool days , Im sure I read somewere that he failed a medical with us ). Central Midfielders - Gattuso ( Unlikely ) , Saviola ( ( Attacking ) Unlikely but wouldnt rule it out ) , Johnson ( Man City would probably let him go in the region of £4million , good young english talent , hasnt done villa no harm ) Strikers - Im definitley struggling.

I am sure N-O had some sort of pull on the size of the ticket allocations we had last season or maybe the start of this season. I just think the club are being stupid by not taking full allocations or 3/4 of the allocations. We have only sold out 3 games this season away from home in a full allocation. Scum , Boro , Wigan ( west ham i cant quite remember ). Other than that our trips to , Man Utd , Arsenal , Chelsea , Pompey , Everton and Fulham have all been reduced ticket allocations compared to last season were we sold out the maximum allocation prety much every week. Is there any chance the person who was contacted by the club initially about this say something to them , or do you think NUSC would be better to contact. For example , look at our next allocations , Hull FAC ( 2,700 ) , I think that is the maximum we could get but I always thought FAC games gave you more tickets , Blackburn ( 4,700 ) , we took closer to 7,000 last season , Man City ( 2,115 ) , Last seaosn we had 3,200 and then we have West Brom ( 1,700 ) were we always sell out and have a good away day that alocation is a piss take. Now the above allocations may just be to see if we sell those first and then ask for more , but surely they should take the full allocation and then see how many we sell and then send back which ones we cannot sell if any.

Do you really think the singing section would of worked with £500 season tickets? No. I think that is because there is not 3000 fans who would want to pay that and sit in a " singing section ". Pathetic. NUFC have now hired " Bouncers " to steward Level 7. At one stage I was standing up on the back row where my seat is , and 15-20 yellow meat heads RAN up the stairs and cordened my block off and telling everyone to " sit the fuck down ". More people stand up when they come up , than there is in the first place. I probably didnt word it correct. Beye likes getting forward and is quite good at attacking opposing full backs. His crossing ability is awful though.

Formation: 4-4-2 It's quite hard to explain what Shape exactly means as it cant be summed up in one straight answer, but what I will say is that if your playing a 4-4-2 formation , our shape would mean a right back , left back , 2 central defenders , a left winger , a right winger and 2 central midfielders , and 2 strikers. I find alot of the time that we lose our shape in games due to the free role I think Jonas Gutierrez has. I think it has been apparent in every game he has played for us that he just wants to be involved , moving across the pitch at every oppurtunity. I always thought though , for example , if Jonas was starting on the right wing and Nzogbia on the left they would set up at Kick Off like that , and begin the game in that formation/shape. However , if Jonas then moved over to the left , shouldn't Nzogbia move over to the right so they can both cut in or just cause the opposition full backs confusion by giving them a different type of opposition to play against. I think Jonas has been one of our best players this season but I just find him so frustrating when he moves out of position , I think if he is going to play like that , were he is all over the shop , more so in the attacking third , why doesn't he play behind the front two were he can move out left , or move out right , or stay central? When we do have 2 wingers on the left aswell as a left back , not only is it closing space down for us to exploit , but it is taking anothero one of our players out of the game , unless we can manage to work something between the 3 of them , which is very unlikely , and the second thing which it does is for example if we have the ball on the left , and Jonas and Nzogbia , and Enrique are over there , we cant get round there full backs so we have to come inside to our central midfielders , how do we switch the play without going three at the back? Habib Beye who is great going forward , then loses his shape and then the team now has a formation of 3-5-2 with 2 left wingers , one right winger ( habib beye ) and 2 central midfielders , and more than likely we lose the ball and get left at the back , perfect example was Saturday when Beye had to go forward and Collocini was left alone with Alves and he blazed over the bar.
