The lads/lasses at the Toon Ultras have decided to push for a new banner to be hung over the Leazes Corner balcony forever , until needs replaced due to wear and tear. We have contacted the club to ask permission for them to allow us to do this , and are awaiting the reply. Obviously there is alot of advertisement boards around that area, but if I remember correctly , last season away fans were allowed to hang over the balcony . We are hoping that this may be the first of many banners we could have along the balcony of level 7 , but feel a Bobby Robson one would be a fitting start , as the man is still alive to see it. A Joe Harvey and Jackie Milburn one has been discussed , aswell as Alan Shearer. We are hoping this will be done very swiftly , but obviously the design and order needs to be sorted first. It always used to amaze me how come , away fans could always be heard regardless of how many they brought up in the corner last year. Yet 2500 standing and singing now , cant be heard.

Yes , very good up there again. People whinge about the kids being up in the corner , and Toon Ultras being full of kids etc , but I dont thinka nyone can deny that they have managed to pluck up a canny little atmosphere up in the corner this season. I also think the rest of the ground have seemed to find there voices again , WELL DONE. P.S Would be good if the ground could sing together instead of Gallowgate singing , and then the corner catchig the end of it sort of thing. Keep It Going !!
