im going back next season, packed in a few years ago but decided to get it back again, i dont go back to newcastle to see family and friends anywhere near as often as i should, and this is a good excuse to get together with mates every other week. regardless of how much we say we should do it anyway, we havent.

Indon't think anyone takes the Dutch title seriously. Give over man. This He won a title for a team that had never won a league championship before, in a league that is usually dominated by 2 or 3 clubs, so to discount it would be stupid. theres only him and van gaal have done it in the league history, outstanding achievement.

Mcclaren will be a steady hand. Read quite a few derby forums last night, hard pushed to find anyone who wanted him to leave (for footballing reasons), quite a few mention their 'on the floor' style of football as well (I've watched them a few times, never seen it!). I go back to my previous point, people would be happy with karanka, but not mcclaren? Didn't karanka 'fail' with boro the same way mcclaren 'failed' with Derby? People are being overly harsh imo. I agree, it's dull, uninspiring and disappointing, there's a real chance to lift the place here and they're not going to take it, but I also think, keegan aside, he's the best appointment we've made in last ten years.
