  1. gary neville, new valencia manager.
  2. The thread title is "Who would you go for?"... Well in that case. I want Guardiola, with Enrique as his assistant. Yep. That'll do. It'll be a very short thread if it's 'who would you go for in an ideal world.' Guardiola, close thread. I was obviously being facetious It seems there is quite a small pool of managers to choose from though. The ones that Ashley would actually appoint and the ones that would actually work for him. I'd argue that the majority of the options on that list are unrealistic. I'm just hoping that the threat of relegation and the big money that he'll lose out on. Means that Ashley's hand is forced and he actually appoints a competent manager. It would be nice for him to panic in a good way and properly back a quality manager in the transfer market. Although TBH. We deserve to go down and there is the outside chance that Ashley would sell. So maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. If the last 2-3 years are anything to go by. Then what is the point of us being in the Premier League? i was agreeing with you on the thread title btw. Oh right. Well in that case. Cheers Quite obvious now I re-read it

  5. It's also not a difficult concept to understand, I asked a question, obviously the answer is yes, and thats fine. Presumptuous fecker aren't you!
  6. Nobody said he was btw (the best we can get). The limits are there while Ashley is there. We couldn't get an Eddie howe under Ashley man, let alone a European big name.
  7. Redknapp would be grim as fuck like, no doubt. His record of fixing toxic dressing rooms isn't the best either.
  8. By the way, I don't want a pulis type manager either, but we're so far f***ed I can't see another head coach type working, we're too f***ed for a Garde or mcclaren, who were their two main choices last time.
  9. I'm laughing at the mini rant, I tried to highlight that but it didn't work on my phone. So you know who you don't want, you just don't know who you do?
  10. Who would you (realistically) go for then? And why? Pulis isn't particularly realistic considering he's at a club tbh. Hence 'a pulis'.

  12. I think the mackems have done it right btw, bringing in that slug to stop the rot, they can then look to make a more progressive appointment once they're stabilised. Could be time for us to do the same. Can't see a Rodgers type fixing this lot, we need a pulis type imo.
  13. Moyes would mean scrapping the whole model imo, which I'd be all for, but can't see them doing it. Moyes wouldn't work in an environment where he couldn't sign who he wanted, it's arguably his biggest strength.
  14. He's used to working with people who give a shit.

Has he actually said that? He's fucking crazy if so.

Lost all respect for Anderson a long long time ago, but he's right here, mcclaren way out of his depth.

We should draw up a list and work from the bottom up, we're s*** when we work from the top of our candidate list. Haha, true.

He's gone 3-5-2, big system change for him that, could be interesting.

Yep, just joined you. I was sure he'd be good for us, a proper coach who brought in proper qualified people rather than jobs for the boys. Sadly, I was wrong. I don't hold any malice towards him a la pardew, just not good enough and hasn't got a pair which is desperately needed at nufc. Hopefully he walks. Who we get in is anyone's guess mind. Thinking pretty much exactly the same, like the guy but wrong place, wrong time. Aye, as minhosa said, two years too late. We need a figurehead who'll rip it up and has a pair, he isn't it. We'll also never appoint one of them under his lot. We're fucked.

I'm disappointed, put it that way. He's got an odd record mcclaren but there's some positives in his cv, more so than anyone else we've appointed since KK. Sadly, he looks as bad as any of the others.

Is sacking him pointless? Won't we just get the same again? Fucks sake, talk about depressing
