Every time Thauvin gets caught in possession McClaren looks like he's going into cardiac arrest. He's just too cautious to back such a player, he'd probably rather start with Gouffran on the left wing. Safe and will track back. Not having a go, but if that's the case, why has he never done it? He probably thinks Gouffran is a central midfielder. Lee Ryder does. So he wouldn't rather play him on the wing then? I think if he knew how Pardew used him he probably would. He seems to want Gouffran-like qualities in his wide players in tracking back. So he'd rather play gouffran there, but never has, because he thinks he's a central midfielder, but if he knew he'd ever been played as a winger before, he would. Got it.

We're shitcunts. Yep. Fans who got on his back included.
-
would love to see if his press fanboys pick up on it....bet they don't.

i'm all for being cynical about this set of c***s but it smells more of them gambling on potential to me, thinking they're getting the new hazard for 12m and can sell in 2 years for 30m Hell of a gamble paying £12m when he'd just been voted one of the worst players in Ligue 1 last season. ashley loves a gamble though eh? lucky us. do they ever pay off? shame he's never taken a gamble worth taking. fucking fat wanker.
-
he's got pace, which is a start. but he feels very 'obertany' doesnt he?
-
shows the 'model' up again i guess. players bought who the 'head coach' doesnt want. fucking barmy.
-
agreed, shame the fans who berated him at the weekend didnt agree that he'd hard;y had a try.
-
for a guy who looked low on confidence, the 'youre not fit to wear the shirt' brigade will have him desperate to leave, cant blame him!
-
good, didnt want his return to alter any striker search. Cisse isnt the answer.
-
Aye. I'd be amazed if Burnley let him go though aye, this article suggests he's quick and strong: http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/13949910.Paul_Weller_column__Andre_Gray___s_pace_and_power_like_nothing_I___ve_seen_at_Burnley/?ref=mr&lp=20
-
is this andre gray fella quick? (i realise we probably cant sign him until summer, but if the interest is true, it may indicate what they are looking for).
-
pace is an absolute must for a striker we buy, imo.
-
superb last night.
-
Good performance and result for him tonight. He needs things to turn as he's been backed. Let's see.
-
Fucking shite. Has to be dropped.
-
Not sure where to start with that!
