If he’s a mk 2 of the one we saw two years ago, we could do with one of those.

We’ll need a keeper, right sided centre back, right winger and a forward imo. and that’s if nobody leaves. I think we’ll be looking at kluivert, Jacob Ramsey, DCL & the winger from Celtic as well as the likes of Trafford, Guehi, Mbuemo etc. we’ve got to be very clever with what we have spend wise and I think we will be.

I’m not sure it is defeatist. In a non psr world Delap would snap our hand off, but I very much doubt we have the budget to be signing a £30m back up striker when we have other priorities.

The center forward slot will be filled by Calvert Lewin. We won’t get Delap imo.

Villa were great yesterday, we’ve given them some real beatings under Emery so I had a feeling they’d be bang up for this one after the tindall antics and the psg game, and they were. It happens. On to the next one.

That’s not true tbf. I’ve lived down here for 20 odd years and they’ve given great backing to managers to be fair to them. One thing they haven’t done in recent years is turn on the manager quickly. Don’t think they ever turned on ten hag to be honest, nor Solskjaer, Mourinho or van gaal.
