  1. I couldn't argue with much of that, we'll just have to wait and see.
  2. I agree with that also, no point wasting what we have by getting it wrong again. We should stick with Allardyce until we can get somebody better, somebody that we can all look at and think we've got a chance, I'd hate to get rid of him and repeat the mistakes we've made in the past, the mistake of getting shot too early as well as the mistake of getting the wrong manager in. If we unveiled a Mourinho or a Wenger tomorrow that I'd be all for sacking Allardyce but that isn't likely.
  3. Agreed but he can still turn things around very easily by changing tactics and formations and getting the best out of the players he has brought in, I'm not saying he will but it wouldn't take much to put things right on the pitch. I still think we need some creativity though because even his best 11 has that missing, no matter who he picks or how he tries to play them. Edit, I'm not sure he is the man for us, I'm also not sure that he isn't, yet.
  4. I suggested to you what you suggested to him, I don't see what being deaf has to do with any of this either.
  5. I wouldn't want McLeish anywhere near this club, he doesn't inspire me at all.
  6. More effort? That can go both ways though can't it, he's learned a second language and I can read what he's trying to get across perfectly, maybe you need to make more of an effort.
  7. Why not help him out and respond to him in his native language? Good luck.
  8. I don't think I've stuck my head in any sand and have been critical of Allardcye, I just think he's got time to turn things around and I also think we can still go on to have a reasonable season, Allardyce only needs to get a settled team with a formation that the players understand and we'll be OK. I have no idea if he's capable of doing that but I'm not ready to write him off just yet.
  9. How many points did we have after 13 games last season and where were we in the league? Send the taxi away, it's not needed at this time.
  10. Let's try and keep it calm, if I can then anybody can.
  11. I can see sense in that, again it's down to doing the simple things.
  12. I can't see the point in arguing if you both feel the same way, not that it's an argument yet.
  13. The sad thing is that not long ago I wouldn't have considered that I could actually want to see Carr ever play for us again never mind me suggesting it and somebody agreeing with me, strange times.
  14. Ouch, No I meant balancing the team by possibly bringing an ineffective Viduka off and bringing the unthinkable Carr on and sticking Smith up front with Geremi playing right wing. Or bringing Milner on and leaving Geremi at rightback with Smith up front.
  15. I don’t necessarily think that’s the case, it may be a genuine show of support.
  16. Maybe we'd have been better balancing the side and putting him into a position he felt comfortable with.
  17. Exactly, I don't see why he should walk straight into the reserves before proving himself, Roeder didn't.
  18. I'd try for Riquelme if he's as pissed off as rumoured, it wouldn't hurt to try especially if the supposed £3 million in anywhere near the true asking price.
  19. Ok, let's get rid and bring in a translator. Joking aside, Mourinho is a one off although didn't Wenger start out as a school teacher or something? I'll stick with the coaching decision being baffling while acknowledging that it could turn out well.
  20. With that in mind, we could have taken any player off because nobody played that well. The players all look down and that will not change while they are being asked to play in a manner that they don't appear to like or understand.
