  1. It says 2 people have voted yet is shows 3 votes, I haven't voted and can't, not that I'm bothered.
  2. Not an option, try again.

    Idiots booing Dyer

Yes the booing of Dyer was more shameful.

    Idiots booing Dyer

True, Shepherds head dropped and his performance went down the pan that game.
  5. I've heard that the soft Spanish bas***d broke a finger nail.
  6. Of course it was a foul, the ball had gone so the keeper took the player out as he would have got past him and possibly picked up the ball in front of an empty net, he knew what he was doing.
  7. 14 people voted so far, 14 voted success. It couldn't be more 1 sided so vic might as well start now.
  8. It was an excellent game again apart for the first 20 minutes after the break which isn't a surprise considering we had made so many changes. N'Zogbia had a brilliant game, Milner was excellent Geremi will be wasted if he's not played through the middle, Nobby wasn't too bad but he went missing at times. Martins caused Juve loads of problems and Luque had a good game and for Skirge, he showed plenty of bottle and won plenty of headers. Rozenhal is starting to look like a steal for us, he never flaps and reads the game well. The only negatives for me were our fullbacks, how Huntington gets a game before Edgar I'll never know, Carr may have been slightly better than his normal shit self but he's not good enough, some of his touches were poor and he's so slow he can't get back when the ball is played behind him. Ramage had a good game in the middle, I didn't see him do anything wrong, Pattison wasn't as bad as usual and actually made some nice passes, Troisi wasn't as involved but what he did was done well, he seems to have a good centre of gravity, he rarely goes to ground when tackling or turning at Speed. Carroll looked good without looking spectacular, if today had been anything other than a friendly they would have gone down to 10 men when Carroll was taken out by the keeper, the keeper knew what he was doing. What I liked about Carroll is that he was playing a team that has for years been regarded as one of the best in Europe yet he had no respect for anybody, he just gave everything he could to win the ball and try to put them under pressure. Man of the match for me was N'Zogbia, the booing of Dyer is pathetic, if he'd played 90 minutes the way he played when he came on, he would have pushed N'Zogbia for man of the match.
  9. Where would we be today if we'd said that before he became manager?
  10. No idea what I'm doing up, I just haven't felt like going to sleep but i'm starting to get whinged at.
  11. He's always had you down for one.
  12. I think this is the crucial point - the club AND KK have both moved on now - if Allardyce is to succeed or fail it should be under the circumstances that he personally is comfortable with. He is already working for a new regime - it would be different if he & KK had worked together before ; however you dress it up, Director of Football means that the manager is virtually responsible to him - a tricky situation unless ALL are happy with it... Definitely think its too late for KK to return as manager again, and as some have pointed out, there are personality problems - in addition, if Ashley wishes to develop the Academy side of things, he will find that KK is not a great believer in that - remember how he scrapped the Reserves and wound down the Youth team..? His views on younger players were the reason some left. Chris Macmenemy said that Keegan got rid of the reserves because our squad was so small as we'd just got promoted.
  13. I think he's got you down as a pillow muncher.
  14. What if he is? Does it stop him watching football?
  15. I haven't seen anything yet but I wonder if this is the connection with Newcastle that Sir John mentioned?
  16. It may also just suggest that he's never been used in a predatory roll, not that I think he's capable of it.
  17. I'd only be against it if Allardyce was against it.
  18. Keegan had been out of football for years before he came back as manager, it didn't take him long to get up to speed and he'd spent most of his time in Spain playing golf or getting beat up over here in service stations.
  19. Robbie Elliott, how did you forget him?
  20. Do you think Keegan would ever want to become manager again? I don't, I don't think he's daft enough to put himself under that pressure again so I wouldn't think it's nearly as bad as having Shearer doing the job, I would worry for Allardyce if it was Shearer.
  21. Agreed, and just for Kasper, i’d should have a capital "I" for it to be grammatically correct.
  22. Keegan being spineless wouldn't come into it as the pressure would still be on the manager, I don't think Allardyce would have anything to worry about either as I doubt Keegan would be a threat, he's done it and moved on. I wouldn't like to see Keegan ever return as manager but I think he could do a job bringing players in. I doubt anybody could sell the club to prospective signings better than Keegan, he didn't have a bad record here. He's also be good with the press if the manager was ever in trouble because of results, I can't see why people wouldn't want him here.
  23. Keegan is one person who would get Ashley to splash the cash.
  24. Good move, him or Sir Bobby would have both been ideal.
