Apart from the Fulham game when is the last time Shola played? It's not like Pardew even picks Shola any more.
I agree with you, Shola has only made 21 appearances this season when Carver has been standing in for Pardew.
What the f*** is this s***?
You know what I mean man. When you've got a game that you're struggling in, you need a goal, you don't throw on an 18 year-old to blood him. Those are the circumstances that most manages would turn to an experienced member of their squad.
A forward who hasn't scored since 2012 is the last person I'd bring on if I needed a goal in 2014.
honest question, if they canned pardew and appointed say laudrup or someone like martinez (whoever that may be) but were very upfront about the fact they're not going to spend much money would you but a ST on that basis? i.e. you'd be looking at better football, a manager who knows what he's doing and wants to win football games but won't be provided much in the way of resources
I would probably go because I might actually enjoy the football.
I wouldn't have a ticket next season even if they were given away free of charge but would happily pay more if the club was ambitious, they haven't got a clue as to why people are packing in. I hope people can see through the latest pathetic attempt to make it look as if we endorse what they are doing by the club.
In the last 10 games including today Fulham have won 1, drawn 2, lost 7. For the 9 games before we played them, they had scored 8 goals and let in 23, an average score-line of almost 1-3.
I watched the first 30 minutes and made the best decision I've made all week, I found something better to do which to be fair wasn't difficult. It's no surprise that we lost and it's no surprise that Shola came on as the first choice substitution around 70 minutes in, that has Pardew's game plan written all over it.
I remain hopeful that we won't.
Unlucky, we have.
What's he said? What's he said? What's he said? What's he said!
This isn't word for word, he basically said we'd miss his presence massively.
